The fifth wave of the epidemic rebound in Hong Kong slowed slightly, and new confirmed cases exceeded 9,000 for 12 consecutive days, and less than 8,000 for two consecutive days. Chief physician of the Infectious Diseases Department of the Health Protection Center of the SAR Government Department of Health, Ou Jiarong reported on the afternoon of September 13 that as of 0:00 on the same day, 1,934 new confirmed cases of nucleic acid test in Hong Kong and 5,133 cases of positive rapid antigen test after nucleic acid retest, and 151 new imported cases from abroad. A total of 7,218 new confirmed cases and 10 new deaths throughout the day.

Ou Jiarong said that 7 new nursing homes and 3 disabled homes reported cases, with a total of 17 hospitalists and 7 employees confirmed. Among them, 7 hospitalists and 7 employees of Kwai Chung Yaoqi Nursing Home were infected.
