Xiaoming Girls’ Middle School
Cultural Exchange Meeting
At the flag-raising ceremony on February 27, we welcomed students from Xiaoming Girls’ Middle School in Taiwan, which gave us the honor to communicate and learn with such an outstanding female middle school.
In the afternoon, Xiaoming Girls' Middle School students and core members of our school's student union exchanged and discussed the planning of the 125th anniversary of the city's third year of the school and the culture of the two schools.
First, the student union chairman Feng Xianni shared the general activity arrangements and activities ideas of this school anniversary with Xiaoming Girls' Middle School students. Then, Liu Xiaofan, director of the club department, introduced some of the detailed activities. Xiaoming Girls' Middle School students expressed their expectations for the 125th anniversary of the city's third year.
Then two students from Xiaoming Girls’ Middle School introduced us to Xiaoming Girls’ Middle School’s school curriculum and school activities, such as the large-scale event on World Book Day and the Easter event with Catholic school characteristics. The students from the City Three were also very interested in these special activities of Xiaoming Girls’ Middle School and also found that Xiaoming Girls’ Middle School has many activities like the City Three.
After the cultural exchange between the two schools, everyone sat together to exchange ideas about the planning of the school anniversary and their daily study and life. At first, everyone was a little restrained and didn't know where to start the topic. Later, they gradually became familiar with each other and started talking. The students from the third city distributed some samples about the school anniversary, the Zhiya reading book of the third city, the literary creation collection of girls, and the city Sanming postcards to Xiaoming's classmates to pass on it.
In addition to school anniversary planning, what students are most interested in is the exchanges about academic advancement, as well as more school activities or small details of life. Xiaoming's classmate took out a thick small notebook. He thought it was an ordinary diary, but he didn't expect that this was a growth manual, which was made up of the students' own creativity, which gave us a lot of gains.
The laughter between the students broke the initial quiet air and atmosphere. After the pleasant conversation, everyone was still very reluctant to interrupt the topic. This exchange activity allowed the students from the third city to understand the study and life on the other side of the strait, and also allowed the students of the two schools to form a deep friendship.
