Taiwan Mainland Affairs Commission has announced that it will suspend direct cross-strait passenger ships from the 10th. In other words, on the 10th, three links between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait will be suspended.
According to Taiwan's Lianhe Evening News on the 9th, after Taiwan's "Central Epidemic Command Center" announced that international cruise ships are not allowed to berth Taiwan's ports from the 6th, only the two sides of the Taiwan Strait will be shipped on the island. The Mainland Affairs Council then announced the suspension of passenger ships between small three links on the 10th, and announced the cancellation of direct cross-strait passenger routes and flights on the 8th, which will be implemented from the 10th. At present, only direct freight flights and minor three cargo ships remain unaffected.

3-way refers to the mail, trade and navigation between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, but this term is mostly used in cross-strait passenger transport. The small three-way refers to the direct passenger flights between Kinmen , Mazu , Penghu and the mainland coast in 2001. Statistics on the island show that the Dasan Teng currently operates five routes by three companies including " COSCO Star ". In December last year, there were 22 round trips per week, with a weekly passenger capacity of about 1,250 people, and a total passenger capacity of about 5,000 people in December last year. There are 4 routes in Xiaosantong. In January this year, the normal flights are about 52 flights per day, carrying about 4,000 passengers a day and about 364 flights per week. After the suspension, all flights will be cancelled, which is estimated to affect about 120,000 people per month.
In addition to the escalation of sea transportation epidemic prevention, there are only five main routes left for cross-strait flights from the 10th, including routes to and from Beijing Capital Airport, Shanghai Pudong and Hongqiao Airport , Xiamen Gaoqi Airport and Chengdu Shuangliu Airport. The other cross-strait routes will cease passenger service until April 29. Statistics from Taiwan’s Ministry of Transport show that in February, 1,345 cross-strait flights will be cut directly by 762 flights, with 583 remaining, which may impact more than 110,000 passengers.
Not only that, the Taiwan authorities continue to obstruct the return of the remaining personnel from Taiwan on the grounds that there was a confirmed case of the first batch of Taiwanese compatriots returning to Taiwan in Wuhan. According to the China Times on the 9th, the Mainland Affairs Council issued new conditions for the charter flight of the second flight back to Taiwan, proposing that Taiwan's side send planes and allow Taiwan quarantine personnel to go there randomly. "This part will be the focus of offensive and defensive negotiations in the future." Taiwan’s “Minister of Health and Welfare” Chen Shih-chung admitted that the symptoms of confirmed cases of Taiwanese compatriots returning to Taiwan were very mild. On the 8th, the Taiwan Affairs Office of Wuhan raised "seven questions" to Taiwan, including why Taiwan reported 17 cases in the mainland. This person alone did not announce his age and gender. He also said that the confirmed case has not been treated in the past few days and cannot be contacted at present. His wife knew nothing about his diagnosis and called on Taiwan to cooperate with the mainland's transportation work and not to find various excuses to prevent Taiwanese compatriots from returning home.
A comment published by the China Times on the 9th stated that at a critical moment of mainland epidemic prevention and control, the Tsai Ing-wen authorities not only did not lend a helping hand in time, but instead ordered the export of masks to be banned as soon as possible, and then completely banned mainland people from entering the country without warning. His ruthlessness has caused harm to the hearts of the mainland. On the issue of Taiwanese compatriots returning to Taiwan, the Taiwan authorities first quickly cut off from the mainland, stood by and watched, and then turned against each other, causing trouble for the follow-up work. "Fake epidemic prevention and real politics", the United Daily News commented on this title on the 9th that there are rumors on the island that Taiwanese tourists were mistakenly recognized as being from the mainland in Vietnam and were refused to land on the island. Those who are interested then interpreted it as "China" on the "passport" causing trouble and encouraged the modification of the "passport", which is similar to fake epidemic prevention and real politics, and is infinitely exaggerated, which is eye-opening. The article said that the epidemic is severe, and Taiwan lacks masks, alcohol, and forehead thermometers, which means there is no shortage of political saliva spraying everywhere. Wearing masks and washing hands frequently cannot stop the political epidemic.
