So far, the country has announced five batches of national intangible cultural heritage lists. At the same time, most intangible cultural heritage projects will also apply for and select national representative inheritors. However, the fifth batch of intangible cultural heritage list has just been announced, and representative inheritors have not had time to apply for and select them. By around 2003, as the country implemented the census and protection of intangible cultural heritage , and supported old artists to return to their old careers, so that bead embroidery could be restored.

However, at present, there are only thirty or forty practitioners of Ou embroidery, and they have been struggling on the line of life and death, and their prospects are not as good as those of Guangdong embroidery. Now Ou Embroidery has orders in the market, but there are no orders for embroiderers to produce them. In the end, they have to cancel the order or purchase Su Embroidery products for secondary processing to make a meager profit.

At present, Ou embroidery only has master-level fine works to sell, and apprentice works cannot be sold at a good price, because ordinary embroidery can be replaced by mechanical repair. Even if Ou Xiu apprentice has studied for three to five years, it only makes a superficial job, so the apprentice has no income, so it cannot retain young apprentices at all. Even if there are big orders, it cannot be completed. I hope that the relevant parties in Zhejiang can increase support and ensure that Ouxiu has successors.
