[Global Times Comprehensive Report] After being found to have banned drugs, the Taiwan authorities have recently tried every means to sell grouper . On the one hand, they want to make up for the losses by domestic sales. Recently, a restaurant under an island company launched the "Grooster Burger", which sold for as much as NT$200 NT$3 (approximately RMB 45).
According to China Times News Network on the 25th, Taiwan EY Group released a new brand of Chinese burgers for its newly established store "Blue Fish" on the same day, launching six Taiwanese fish burgers, including grouper, milkfish , sailfish , and sea bass, of which one grouper burger is NT$200. In fact, other fast food restaurants in Taiwan have previously launched similar grouper burgers. Some people on the island said that a NT$200 may affect the public's acceptance. However, the company called it "not "selling to eat enough" but "selling to people who like Taiwan".
According to reports, Taiwan’s “Committee on Agriculture” predicts that the sales volume of Taiwanese grouper will be affected by the suspension of imports in the mainland in the second half of the year. (Lin Yue)
