Latest Japanese business visa and entry policy overview in March
The Japanese government is scheduled to relax entry control measures in stages starting from March 1, and the number of passengers entering Japan will increase to 5,000 per day. If foreigners want to obtain a new entry permit, they need to submit their applications online in advance by Japanese universities, enterprises and other undertaking institutions. The undertaking agency must enter the passport information of the incoming personnel and the isolation address after entry, and promise to implement the epidemic prevention policy. After receiving the certificate of completion of procedures issued by the government, the undertaking agency must submit the certificate and other necessary documents to the Japanese embassy and consulate in foreign countries before receiving the visa.
The Japanese government has changed the restrictions on new entry for foreigners to apply for Japanese business visas.
Starting from 0:00 a.m. on March 1, 2022, for passengers who are traveling to Japan for business purposes, the person in charge of receiving the Japan recipient (note) completes the application specified in the entry health confirmation system (ERFS). As an application with "special circumstances", new entry will be recognized in principle. For new entry for short-term stays (less than 3 months) for business purposes, entry requires a "payment certificate" applied for in advance by the person responsible for receiving the recipient.

6) Negative certificates within 72 hours before departure.
Isolation policy after entry
For incoming personnel entering from countries or regions with high risk of the epidemic:
1. If you have not received 3 vaccines, you need to be isolated at the designated facility in the quarantine for 3 days. If the test result is negative on the third day, you do not need to be quarantined at home.
2. If you hold a certificate of 3 vaccination, you can be quarantined at home. If the test result is negative on the third day of quarantine, you can end the quarantine.
Since Japan does not recognize Chinese vaccines at present, China needs to be quarantined for three days when entering Japan by departing to Japan
