We applaud the efforts of the public security organs, but we also have to think again about why pornography-related apps continue to be banned. First, market demand. There will be supply only when there is a market. The novelty and normal physiological needs of some adults make these pornographic software particularly marketable. Some people even register as members and spend a lot of money to satisfy their psychological and physiological needs.
Second, profit-driven. Since China prohibits the development of the pornographic industry, but there is indeed a certain demand for it in reality, some people see the huge profits and do not hesitate to take risks and do illegal things. Some girls personally participate in filming pornographic videos, and most of them are motivated by profit. According to online reports, the monthly income from filming such videos can reach hundreds of thousands. Under the temptation of huge profits, some girls who do not want to work hard and want to get something for nothing give up their dignity and personality.
Third, those who ignore or are ignorant of the law are fearless. my country's criminal law stipulates that the crime of producing, selling, and disseminating obscene materials is punishable by a fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years, criminal detention, or control in general cases; in serious cases, a fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than 10 years; in particularly serious cases, a fixed-term imprisonment of not less than 10 years or life imprisonment, and a fine or confiscation of property. The ignorance of some people causes them to ignore the seriousness of the law.
Fourth, the criminal suspects are lucky. Many criminal suspects have their people abroad or the servers they rent are abroad, so as to avoid the investigation of the national public security organs. They think that this can be seamless, but they do not know that "Skynet is full of gaps and leaks."
Fifth, supervision by relevant national departments is difficult. Some pornographic apps, under the guise of learning apps, are borderline pornographic, especially some live-streaming software. They say some explicit words and do some large-scale actions, but sometimes it is difficult to monitor them.
