Chapter 3 Avoid generating static electricity

The above methods only treat the symptoms but not the root cause. 1. Maintain the ambient humidity

In the winter in Beijing, the indoor air humidity is generally around 20%. It can be said to be very dry. When I first came to Beijing, I was completely unaccustomed to it and even had nosebleeds. Later I bought an ultrasonic humidifier and left it on for a long time to ensure that the indoor humidity is above 50%. There are several things to note about the

humidifier. First, it is best to use drinking water. Many communities now have convenient water stations, which filter tap water and meet drinking water standards. It is very affordable. It is 3 yuan for 10 liters in Beijing. The humidifier is turned on 12 hours a day. It does not cost 20 yuan a month. It is clean and hygienic.

Second, the humidity of the thermometers and hygrometers I usually buy are not very accurate. I bought three thermometers and hygrometers of a certain meter of the same model and put them together. One showed 20%, one showed 30%, and one showed 40%. I was confused. It is best to use the humidity when you no longer produce static electricity that can shock people. Don't blindly think that everything is safe when the humidity exceeds 50%.

2. Replace clothing containing chemical fiber materials

According to my experience, one way is to put a layer of mat on the seat cushion that is not easy to generate static electricity, such as wool mat, or bamboo mat . 4. Solve the problem of dry skin (vital)

Many years ago, I had solved the above three problems, but I still got electrocuted all year round. I thought it was a problem with my physical condition, so I gave up long ago and carried a discharge keychain with me every day.

The solution to dry skin is very simple. Apply body lotion in large quantities and over a wide area. My suggestion is to apply body lotion on any part that your hands can reach. When you first try it, you should not only apply it after bathing, but also apply it on your whole body before going out every day. The standard I set for myself is: no flakes will appear on any part of the body at any time. This can completely eliminate the variable of dry skin and determine whether you have static electricity caused by dry skin.

The body lotion I use is Xiehe Vitamin E lotion, which is very refreshing, so you can safely apply more. It will be absorbed in a while and will not be sticky. Another reason is that it is cheap, and the amount for one winter only costs about 200 yuan.

5. Prevent dry skin problem

This problem varies from person to person. I just want to share my personal experience.

I am from the south, and my skin has always been very dry since I came to the north. Even in summer, dandruff may appear in certain parts of the body. However, I have many colleagues in the north who don’t have dry skin in winter even if they don’t use body lotion. I find it amazing.

After my careful observation and consultation, I found my own reason, which was caused by my bathing habits. I bathe slowly and like to rub mud very frequently. Even in winter, I will take a bath every other day. Some of my colleagues in the northwest may only take a bath once a week in winter and once a day in spring and autumn, but I only take a bath once a day in spring, summer and autumn.

There is no way to change the frequency of bathing. After all, it has been so many years. What can be changed is the bathing habit. From rubbing mud every time you bathe to once a month, you can even skip it all the time. Rubbing mud is very harmful to the skin and can be said to be the main culprit of dry skin.

At this time, some people may be thinking, every time I take a shower, there will be mud when I rub it lightly. There is nothing I can do if I don't rub it. This happens to me too, and the solution is very simple: speed. When rubbing mud becomes a habit, the skin will soften and form mud after a certain period of time when taking a bath. If you can rinse the bubbles very neatly and end the bath, there will naturally be no mud, and you can't even rub it out even if you want to.
