Apple 's latest iPhone 14 series was launched last Friday. This year, Apple adopted a different new strategy to replace the high-end iPhone 14 model with the latest A16 bionic chip, but the affordable iPhone 14 processor still maintains the same A15 chip as last year. Moreover, this time, the function upgrade of iPhone 14 Pro is obviously much more than that of iPhone 14, and consumers have a strong demand for the iPhone 14 Pro series.

Chinese-funded Tianfeng International Securities analyst Guo Ming pointed out that due to the strong demand for the iPhone 14 Pro model in the market, Apple has now asked Hon Hai to switch the original iPhone 14 production line to produce iPhone 14 Pro models.

Based on the production line conversion rate, it’s equivalent to an increase in the shipment forecast of iPhone 14 Pro models in 4Q22 by about 10%. Only a few component suppliers’ order changes currently reflect Hon Hai’s production line conversion (e.g., Samsung Display).

Guo Ming believes that this approach will help improve Apple's product portfolio in the fourth quarter of this year; according to the conversion rate of the production line, the shipment volume of the iPhone 14 Pro models will be increased by about 10% in the fourth quarter of this year. However, currently, only a few parts suppliers have order changes that reflect Hon Hai’s production line switching (such as Samsung display)

Guo Ming predicts that most suppliers should receive additional orders from Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro models in the next few weeks.
