Now our country is considering building a space power station to collect solar energy 24 hours a day through this power station in space, and then generate electricity from space to major areas of our country.
It is reported that after my country's space station was fully put into operation, it has launched a brand new project, which is the space power station mentioned above. The paper said that the size of this space power station will be about one kilometer wide and emit a gigawave of microwaves at a distance of 36,000 kilometers away. The ground equipment will convert these microwaves into electricity after receiving them, which is different from the many limitations of solar power generation. Since it is in space, its space-based solar cell array can be collected around the clock and transmitted to the earth. This space power station that generates power in Earth's orbit can guide microwave beams to any place in the world, so it can provide energy for remote areas; however, because this is to launch microwaves from space, some foreign media believe that it can also be used as a weapon and used as military equipment. However, for my country, it is obviously for scientific research rather than military purposes. After all, it is a research conducted on the Tiangong Space Station. But this kind of power station is also very dangerous. For example, when converting solar energy into strong current and microwave conversion, a large amount of heat will be generated. The temperature in space is -270°. The cold and hot state is a huge test for the materials of the power station, which will cause huge safety hazards. If a fault occurs and an accident occurs, it will cause serious losses. Therefore, even a satellite power station that has undergone technical verification will deploy it in an orbit 100 kilometers above the Tiangong Space Station through the ion thruster , and conduct tests at this location to ensure safety.

The traditional spacecraft only needs an approximate position to return to the earth, but this kind of power generation can be different. After the technology is verified and the safety is confirmed, it is expected that a small space power station will be established by 2030. Due to the small power generation, this power station is specially used to supply power to military outposts in remote areas, such as Xinjiang, Qinghai-Tibet and other plateau areas. When space technology becomes more mature and costs are lower by 2050, my country will build large space power plants for commercial power generation, and then the whole country will directly use the electricity sent from space.
