Recently, Ukrainian officials rarely announced a relatively accurate number of Ukrainian armed forces. Ukrainian Presidential Advisor Podolak said that the Ukrainian army killed a total of about 13,000 soldiers in this Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
Judging from the timeline of this news, Podolac's move may also be an indirect response to EU and the United States' view of Ukraine's combat effectiveness. In November this year, General Milli, Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Chairman of the European Commission, , both said in public that the number of soldiers killed in Ukraine has reached nearly 100,000. The Ukrainian side has never admitted that they have suffered such great casualties.
Therefore, the 13,000 casualties announced by Podolak this time is also the latest figure he claims to have obtained from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
According to the multiple mobilization orders issued by Ukraine, the total size of the Ukrainian armed forces should be around 800,000. If we look at the number of casualties in the EU and the United States, 1/8 of them have been killed. In addition, in the traditional sense, the proportion of casualties of one death and three injuries has been lost, that is, half of the troops have lost their combat effectiveness. This is obviously inconsistent with the current battlefield situation where the Ukrainian army has a slightly advantage.
So how credible is the 13,000 deaths announced by the Ukraine itself? We believe that there is also moisture here, because according to the intensity of the current battle, the Ukrainian army's casualties will never be much better than the Russian army. If we look at the data on Russian casualties released by the Ukrainians themselves, the two should at least be equal. But now Ukraine announced that the Russian army has killed at least 80,000. If we compromise this data, perhaps the number of casualties of around 40,000 to 50,000 can represent the current average level of both sides.
The two countries are at war, especially during the war, and it is difficult for the outside world to obtain the real casualties between the two sides. Therefore, no matter which side currently announces the so-called casualties on the battlefield, it needs to be selected and estimated through compromise methods. However, no matter which number of casualties is judging by Ukraine, it can definitely be called a bloody drift.
