According to the Hong Kong China Review News Agency, in the last three weeks of the election, Liao Wanru, chairman of the Pingtung County Party Committee of the Kuomintang, said in an interview with the China Review News Agency that Pingtung County has set its goal to lose only 30,000 votes. As long as Pingtung County can narrow the gap to this extent, the Kuomintang 2020 candidate Han Kuo-yu should be sure to be elected.
Liao Wanru, who served as a "legislator" and a "National Congress representative" for 4th to 7th terms. In March 2015, he took over as chairman of the Kuomintang Pingtung County Party Committee.
There are 820,000 people in Pingtung County, and the number of votes in the "general election" in recent years was 121,291 votes in 2016, Tsai Ing-wen 285,297 votes, and the DPP won 160,000 votes. In 2012, Ma Ying-jeou had 211,571 votes, Tsai Ing-wen had 271,722 votes, and the DPP won 60,000 votes. In 2008, Ma Ying-jeou had 247,305 votes and Tse Changting had 249,795 votes, which were comparable to the blue and green.
In addition, in 2018, the rise of the "Korean Wave" was held, the Pingtung County Mayor's election, the Democratic Progressive Party Pan Meng'an voted 262,809 votes, and the Kuomintang Su Qingquan voted 197,518 votes, with a gap of 65,291 votes.
There are three weeks left in the election. Regarding the current election situation of Pingtung County's "general election" and "legislator", Liao Wanru said that because Pingtung County's overall green is greater than blue, and the green camp has been in power for a long time, of course winning is the highest goal. I dare not say that I will win, but based on the number of votes won in the 2018 county magistrate election, 2020 will probably recover 30,000 small losses, and use this value as the expected goal to sprint.
Liao Wanru said that when the Blue Camp was at its worst in 2016, it faced the "pillar change incident" and the year-end condolences deletion. Pingtung County lost 160,000 votes, which was a huge loss, but it only lost 60,000 votes in 2018. Therefore, in 2020, I believe that the number of votes in the "indigenous villages" will be higher. The expectations of military, public education, farmers and fishermen for Han Kuo-yu should be able to recover to the difference of 30,000 votes.
Liao Wanru believes that Han Kuo-yu will definitely win in North Taiwan. In the southern Taiwan part, the green sectors south of Yunlin and Chiayi are relatively large. It is a consistent goal to minimize the lost votes. If Pingtung County can achieve the standard of losing only 30,000 votes, Han Kuo-yu should probably be elected.
