[Global Times Comprehensive Report] The disarray of military discipline in the Taiwan military is no longer a new thing, and there are also generals of the Taiwan military suspected of having scandals of entering and leaving the places that are inappropriate.
According to Taiwan's "Central News Agency" report on the 14th, a vehicle exclusive to Taiwan officers was parked in front of an erotic store in Tainan on the afternoon of the 13th. The passengers in the car walked into the store, and the driver was particularly conspicuous because he was wearing military uniforms. In order to find out, a citizen pretended to be a customer and came into the store and recognized the other party from his military uniform and armband. After the public took photos of the officer, they recognized that they were the deputy commander, so they called the Taiwan military's "1985 Appeal Line" to reveal the news. Some local people said that the store has been open for about two years and there are five or six drinkers in the store.
Taiwan China Times Electronic News html said on the 314th that the person entering the above store was Major General Huang Zhongshi, deputy commander of the Eighth Army Corps. Taiwan's "Army Command" stated on the 14th that preliminary verification showed that Huang did receive an invitation from his retired colleague at around 5 pm on the 13th to go to this store in Anding District, Tainan City, and greet his friends and couples who were celebrating their birthday and "departed immediately." The Taiwan Army also claimed that it attaches great importance to the behavior and ethics of senior cadres, and has sent inspectors to investigate and clarify, "If there is any violation, it will be punished." Some military officials defended that the parties involved in the gathering were Huang Zhongshi's friends and no escort girls appeared.
What made the whistleblower angry was that after he reported it, he actually received a call from Santong, all of whom advised him not to speak out. In the first call, the other party claimed to be the driver of the deputy commander; the second call claimed to be the director of political warfare, arguing that the deputy commander was a normal "military-civilian friendship" in the store and had no improper behavior; the third call sounded like a gangster, almost threatening to know the company and identity of the whistleblower, and requesting a detailed discussion.
This is not the first time that a Taiwanese general has "involved in pornography". The China Times Electronic News once recorded that in August 2014, a major general named Li of the Navy hugged local female guests drunk at a dinner while visiting a "diplomatic diplomatic country". In April 2015, a major general named Yang of the Taiwan Army broke into the female soldier's dormitory after drinking; in October 2019, a major general named Lin was exposed to have been harassed by a female soldier for a long time. In addition, Taiwan's "Dongsen News Cloud" reported that in January 2020, the Captain Operations Chief of the "Datai" warship led a total of 7 non-commissioned officers under his command to call the hostess in the karaoke hall, some of whom even took off their clothes. In October 2021, the captain of the Taiwan Navy's 192 fleet minesweeper "Yongshun" warship was exposed for allowing the lady officer to enter the captain's room for 3 hours late at night. He was reported by his subordinates. After confirming that the regulations were violated, the captain and the lady officer were transferred twice. In December 2021, due to secretly intimate with a woman outside the camp, Liu Qianghua, the political war director of Taiwan's "Kinmen Defense Command", was directly dismissed from his post and investigated. Similar situations have emerged one after another in the Taiwan military, which has made many people on the island worried that the military discipline of the army will be difficult to improve.
