A man surnamed Liu (35 years old) in Miaoli County often suffered symptoms such as fatigue and anemia in recent years. At first, he thought it was because of work fatigue but was not concerned. Unexpectedly, he suddenly fainted and sent to the hospital a month ago. After a bone marrow examination, he was diagnosed with "bone marrow dysdifferentiation syndrome." Doctors say that the disease is more likely to occur between the ages of 50 and 60. Because its symptoms are not easy to detect and some patients will resist bone marrow extraction examination, treatment is often delayed.
Huang Mingli, director of the Department of Hematology and Oncology at Daqian General Hospital, pointed out that the "bone marrow dysdifferentiation syndrome" is caused by chromosome aging or mutation, which makes bone marrow stem cells unable to produce normal blood cells, resulting in abnormal hematopoietic function. If the problem occurs in the red blood cells, symptoms such as burnout, lack of energy, and easy asthma will occur; white blood cells will often have fever and infection; platelets and will easily bleed and bruised. Because the early symptoms are mild, such as anemia, dizziness, burnout, poor physical strength, etc., it is often difficult to detect, and many people will supplement iron or folic acid on their own, which will delay the diagnosis. If you have not received treatment for a long time, there is a 20%-30% chance of worsening into leukemia , and some patients even die due to sepsis before they have worsened.

Huang Mingli said that there are currently three treatment methods: 1. Supportive care: provide appropriate blood transfusion to avoid physical decline or platelet drop bleeding caused by anemia. If infection is caused by low leukocytes, antibiotics are required to prevent sepsis from being life-threatening. 2. Low-intensity treatment: Treatment with demethylation drugs. 3. High-intensity treatment: high-dose chemotherapy and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
Daqian Hospital also called on the public to say that the "bone marrow dysdifferentiation syndrome" is not obvious at the beginning, but if the above symptoms occur, do not neglect it. Be sure to seek medical treatment as soon as possible and cooperate with relevant examinations to provide appropriate treatment and reduce the impact of the hematopoietic strike.
