Flame Mountain is located in the middle of Turpan Basin . The locals call it "Kitziltag", which means "Red Mountain". The legendary mythological story "Journey to the West" describes it as the only way for the master and disciple to obtain scriptures in the West, and it is covered with a veil of mystery.
