To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and display and carry forward the deeds and spirit of legislators in various historical periods under the leadership of the Party Central Committee, the Legal Affairs Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress held a special exhibition on the "Review of the Inheriting the Spirit of Struggle, Deepening the Study and Education of Party History to Practice the Original Aspiration and Mission" Picture Material Exhibition, exhibiting nearly 100 pictures of related materials related to legislation and related activities from December 1979 to May 2021, as well as nearly 100 related materials for legislative activities reported by the People's Daily from September 1954 to June 2021. The Communist Party of China has celebrated its 100th anniversary, 72 years since the founding of New China, and 67 years after the establishment of the People's Congress system, the Legal Affairs Committee has also gone through more than 40 years with the development of the Party and the country's rule of law. It has made important contributions to the formation and improvement of the socialist legal system with Chinese characteristics with the Constitution as the core and promote the comprehensive rule of law in the new era. It has become an important part of the Party's century-old struggle history and an important part of the history of the People's Congress system. On February 23, 1979, the Sixth Session of the Fifth National People's Congress made the decision to establish the Legal Affairs Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, which is the starting point and beginning of our Legal Affairs Committee. The first director of the Legal Affairs Committee was Comrade Peng Zhen, and the second director was Comrade Xi Zhongxun. In 1983, the Legal Affairs Committee was renamed the Legal Affairs Committee.
