1. What is Tang Screening?

2. How to view the results of Tang Sieve?
Currently, the Tang screening test is to test the concentration of type A fetal protein (AFP) and human chorionic gonad hormone (β-hCG) in the blood of pregnant women. Combined with the age of pregnant women, computers are used to accurately calculate the risk of each pregnant woman having a Down syndrome fetus. The normal value of
alpha-fetoprotein should be 0.4~2.5MoM. The lower the test value, the higher the chance of the fetus suffering from Down's disease. The higher the chorionic gonadotropin, the higher the chance of the fetus suffering from Down's disease.
In addition, the doctor will also input the alpha-fetoprotein value, chorionic gonadotropin value, and the age, weight, and pregnancy weeks of the pregnant woman, and calculate the risk of Down's disease in the fetus from the computer. If the test results show that the risk is less than 1/270, it means that the risk is relatively low, and the fetus has less than 1% chance of Down's disease. However, if the risk is higher than 1/270, it means that the fetus is at a higher risk and further amniocentesis or villi examination should be performed.
Tang screening can detect 60 to 70% of children with Down syndrome. Dang's children is congenitally dull, has incomplete intellectual development, and has a slow growth and development, so to avoid tragedy, every mother needs to do this test.

Misunderstanding 1: If the Tang Sieve results are passed, it will be fine
