We have heard that the iPhone 14 will change the screen shape for a while, and the news said that the iPhone will eventually get rid of the bangs and use a punch-hole screen to place the selfie camera instead of the existing settings. Now, leaker Shrimp ApplePro has released a photo of the alleged iPhone 14 screen panel.

This picture is obviously covered, but the amount of information disclosed is enough. In fact, this infrared sensor (round hole) will be hidden under the screen and is not really visible. The new selfie camera will reportedly have wider wide-angle shooting capabilities. Unfortunately, this leaked phone with under-screen FaceID does not include touch recognition, and there are no accessories for the fingerprint module on the leaked panel.
However, leakers suggest that some models (probably cheaper models) will have under-screen touch recognition.
It is worth noting that the regular version of iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will continue to adopt a notch design, which is very similar to the iPhone 13. In other words, in non-Pro models, the place where Face ID hardware is placed will be the bangs.
This is not the first time we have heard rumors about Apple giving up its bangs on the iPhone 14 Pro model. Both Ming-Chi Kuo and Mark Gulman of Bloomberg confirmed that the Pro model won't have bangs, but neither of them detailed what will replace it. However, Ross Young, a monitor industry consultant, previously claimed that the Pro model will install Face ID under the display.
