Experimental personnel evenly spread 5000±500 live dust mites on the standard test bench, and covered them with the test standard cloth, simulated the normal use speed (0.080 + 0.008m/s), turned on the maximum gear or mite removal gear to repeat 30 times, and then counted the number of dust mites left on the test bench and covered test cloth (dead + living body) to calculate the final mite removal rate.

Test results show that the mite removal rate of most products exceeds 80%. Among them, the top five are Dyson SV14DYSON V11 COMPLETE, Midea P91, Philips FC6908B/82, Midea VM1711 (B3), and Supor VCM01X-01, with mite removal rates exceeding 90%. The two poorer models are Delma CM900 and Panasonic MC-WF350, with a mite removal rate of less than 70%.
It is worth noting that the handheld vacuum cleaner with mite removal tips has a better mite removal effect than the mite removal device overall. The top 3 are handheld vacuum cleaners.
Consumers should also pay attention, and some manufacturers will claim similar words such as "high power, better mite removal effect". However, the test data indirectly reflects that the claim that the rated power has nothing to do with the mites removal rate. If the nominal rated power is high, the mites removal effect may not be good. Consumers cannot judge the medley removal effect based solely on the nominal rated power of the product.

During the test, the experimenter simulated the home environment, turned on the maximum power of the product, and conducted noise tests at 1250px left, right and front of the machine respectively.
test results show that the noise of mite removal products is relatively high, ranging from 70 to 85dB(A). The two Panasonic products have less noise, both below 75dB(A). Japanese IRIS NTIC-FAC2 and Philips FC6231/81 are noisy, both exceeding 82dB(A).
It should be pointed out that although the biggest gap between the 20 mite removal products is around 10 decibels, there is basically no obvious difference in actual experience.

UV leakage and sterilization

In this test, the tester chose the more common Staphylococcus aureus to verify the bactericidal effect of 11 mite removal products equipped with ultraviolet ray function. The
test results show that the dynamic sterilization effect of Sawadika KC202 and Delma CM900 is poor (both below 85%), and the sterilization rate of the remaining samples exceeds 99%.
In addition, the tester also activates the ultraviolet function during normal operation of the machine for 11 mite remover samples, and tests the ultraviolet leakage at five points in front, back, left, right and upper points at 5CM from the center of each side of the machine head. Although the 11 samples met the safety requirements of QB/T 5363-2019 "Mite Removal Machine" standard, all samples had trace ultraviolet leakage at least one test point, and some samples had three leaks. The main reason for ultraviolet leakage is related to the product design. If the vacuum cleaner has a certain bulge, it is easy to cause leakage.
Under the promotional offensive of merchants, many consumers will have this psychological preset when purchasing mite removal products: mite removal effect with ultraviolet rays must be better!
In fact, limited ultraviolet radiation from the mite remover cannot kill the mites inside the bedding. The main effect of ultraviolet rays is to kill bacteria on the surface of the bedding. Since living dust mites and corpses are allergens, removing dust mites in the environment is the basis for ensuring the mite removal effect.
It is worth mentioning that Dyson SV14DYSON V11, Midea P91, Philips FC6908B/82, which does not have ultraviolet function, ranks among the top three in mite removal rates, which indirectly proves that there is no correlation between mite removal effect and UV function.
