According to Taiwan media reports, Kuomintang Tainan City Councilman Wang Jiazhen held a press conference on the "Taiwanese Anti-War Self-Rescue Movement" at the Tainan City Council today, calling on the Taiwanese people to jointly support the signing of a referendum on "caring for life and pursuing peace". She said her service office will be set up as a referendum joint signing station, and will also solicit more joint signing locations to allow everyone to speak out together to maintain peace and security in Taiwan.
Today's press conference, Wang Jiazhen invited the leader of the referendum proposal for "Caring for Life and Pursuing Peace" Wang Yixiong lawyer, former chairman of the Independent Trade Union and commander-in-chief of Qiudou, Yan Kunquan, chairman of the Taiwan Transport Trade Union, Lin Shenjing, convener of the New International Theory and Practice Center, and Dr. Wang Wenxin and others to attend the meeting, advocating the demand of "anti-war and peace".
The referendum was led by lawyer Wang Yixiong, a former "legislator" and chairman of the Labor Party. Anti-Lake Pig Physician Su Weishuo and his wife Dr. Wang Wenxin, etc., responded, and advocated the promotion of party representatives and civilian justice through the referendum to form a "national-rights meeting" and elected permanent negotiators to conduct peaceful negotiations with the mainland to avoid war from harming the lives and property of the people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
Referendum initiated Wang Yixiong said that after the Russian-Ukraine War, "Russia and Ukraine today, Taiwan tomorrow" became popular internationally. He advocated that the two sides of the Taiwan Strait should strive for peace, and that peace can be achieved by negotiation. Peace requires negotiation to be promoted, and resolving the crisis of war into a turning point for peace. After thinking about it, I believed that only the referendum can keep Taiwan away from the dangers of war, so I found this platform and there is hope for discussion.
Wang Jiazhen said that there are no winners in war, and no losers in peace. The two sides of the Taiwan Strait should sit down peacefully, give full play to the wisdom and empathy of the same nation, actively promote peace between the two sides, protect the security of each other's homes, lives, and property, safeguard the development of economic and trade construction that both sides have hard-earned, and create a prosperous and shared prosperity on both sides.
