High efficiency generally refers to a person having high efficiency and work ability. Usually such people will get rapid promotion in the workplace. How to become a highly effective person? You need to follow some basic principles, such as a book called "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People".
Putting aside this book, when I review my life, I also share some suggestions that I think are the most important, which can quickly give you a competitive advantage over other peers. I have extracted these three points: maintains self-drive, actively seeks change, and knows how to make appropriate regression.
1. Keep self-driven
We all know that rivers are self-driven generated by flowing from high places to low places, but life is actually life-driven generated by walking from low places to high places, so The self-driven of life is actually more difficult than the automatic flow of rivers, because we have to go up. But no matter what, it means that your self-driven can become the driving force for your life development. So I think the driving force of self-growth is one of the most important driving forces for people.
For example, Tesla CEO Musk, who is now regarded as an idol by many young people, his success also comes from his incredible inner driving force. His former subordinates once recalled:
"Musk works 70, 80 or even 90 hours a week and never stops. He may sleep under his desk two or three days a week, with an industrial carpet made of cement on the floor. Wang Xing's entrepreneurial process can be seen as some change that he observes himself and the outside world hopes to take. He believes that entrepreneurship is a way to change the world for him and hopes that he will live in a world where he hopes to live more, so Wang Xing said, "I can't wait for others to build this world."
So remember, to be a highly effective person, must keep yourself strong self-driven.
2. Actively seek to change
A river is about to flow, and it will enter different environments, from plateau to snow-capped mountains, plateaus, canyons, and finally to plains and sea. If it does not flow, it will become a lake, and the lake will become staying there forever, and the water volume will be the same for the rest of your life. So this flowing process is the process of entering a new environment, so I said that to change myself, must enter a new environment, that is, you must create a new environment for yourself to exercise and grow.
Personally, it can actually be said to be a process of continuous growth. From Peking University as a university teacher (actually a very honorable position in the early 1990s), it had a certain courage and of course a certain passive color (because Peking University gave me an administrative demerit at that time), and finally became a self-employed person.
As a self-employed person, he began to constantly train and grow up. It turned out that the very lazy state at Peking University was wiped out.Because when you find yourself facing a state that is equivalent to throwing a domestic dog into the middle of the wilderness, there are only two choices for this dog, either starving to death in the middle of the wilderness, or quickly learning the ability to prey on other animals! This is the difference between a wolf and a dog. So it is very important that you will grow faster when you are in a difficult environment.
Of course, change is something that needs to be continued, and this is even more true in terms of understanding the world. For example, now I realize that the knowledge and methods of science have almost become my eternal blank, which is a very regrettable thing. If I read it directly now, I will only read at most basic knowledge content such as evolutionary theory in biology. These things are not enough to constitute my scientific worldview, nor are they enough to constitute my scientific methodology.
This is also an important reason why New Oriental's management cadres have increasingly absorbed management cadres from science and engineering backgrounds to enrich New Oriental's management team in the past two years. It is because if we continue to develop along a free and divergent management framework like New Oriental, then the organizational structure will collapse at a certain level. Because it is inflated, not an organizational structure where the same force develops forward like a train and finally forms a driving force.
It can be seen from this that , whether it is a person or a company, must take the initiative to seek change and grow through continuous adjustments.
3. Knowing how to retreat appropriately
In addition to continuous growth, in fact, we cannot keep moving forward courageously in terms of mentality.
Everyone knows that when Liu Bang and Xiang Yu were fighting, Liu Bang knew that he had retreated.
