Nanning Municipal Garden Bureau has made great efforts in establishing and improving the classification, collection and disposal system for kitchen waste. The total planned and designed treatment scale is 1,200 tons/day, and the construction scale of the first and second phases is 600 tons/day.
In June 2020, the main project project started; at the end of 2021, the project material commissioning trial operation; at the end of June 2022, all project construction and joint debugging of equipment have been completed... Under the role of the "booster" of performance evaluation, the construction of the organic waste treatment plant in Nanning Shuangding Circular Economy Industrial Park has been steadily carried out. After it was completed and put into operation, it greatly enhanced the capacity of Nanning’s garbage sorting kitchen waste disposal.
At the same time, the domestic waste cleaning and incineration power plant project with a total treatment scale of 3,000 tons/day is planned and designed. The first phase of the project has a construction scale of 2,250 tons/day. It has been put into trial operation and grid-connected power generation at the end of 2021. All final projects have been completed by the end of June this year. The completion and operation of this project has enabled Nanning City to initially achieve the goal of "zero landfill" of native domestic waste in the built-up area of the city.
"There are three main ways to treat domestic waste: one is incineration treatment, the second is anaerobic fermentation, and the third is sanitary landfill. Among them, the most widely used and environmentally friendly is the domestic waste incineration power generation technology. At present, Nanning’s domestic waste classification has formed a working model of “big diversion and small classification”, and has built a system of classified disposal, classified collection, classified transportation and classification treatment of domestic waste. The capacity of domestic waste treatment has been significantly improved, the structure of domestic waste classification treatment is significantly optimized, the harmless treatment rate of domestic waste remains 100%, and the recycling and utilization rate of domestic waste reaches more than 35%.

It completed a total of 135,712 cubic meters of earthwork, 4,917 trees, 8,221 shrubs, 1151,345 ground covers, and 47,850 square meters of Manila grass. It was completed at the end of September.
