General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Nguyen Phu Trong met with State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi in Hanoi on the 19th.
Zhao Kezhi conveyed General Secretary Xi Jinping and President of the People's Republic of China to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President of the People's Republic of China, and congratulated the successful convening of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Zhao Kezhi said that China and Vietnam are both socialist countries led by the Communist Party and are a community with a strategically significant destiny. General Secretary Xi Jinping and General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong had a phone call recently, pointing out the direction for consolidating and deepening relations between the two parties and the two countries under the new situation. The public security departments of the two countries will conscientiously implement the important consensus of the top leaders of the two parties and the two countries, strengthen cooperation in defending their respective political security and social stability, continuously deepen law enforcement and security cooperation, and make greater contributions to the sustained, healthy and stable development of the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
Nguyen Phu Tung asked Zhao Kezhi to convey his sincere greetings to General Secretary Xi Jinping and President of the People's Republic of China. He said that the Vietnamese Party, country and people are willing to continuously consolidate and develop the traditional friendly relations between comrades and brothers of Vietnam and China. He hopes that the public security departments of the two countries will further strengthen pragmatic cooperation, play an important role in safeguarding the political security and social stability of the two countries, and promote the continuous development of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China.
Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo, Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council Meng Yang, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Director of the State Immigration Administration Xu Ganlu, Ambassador of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Vice-ministerial level) Xie Hangsheng attended the meeting.
