In order to prevent more insured persons from falling into the trap, the Yunnan Provincial Medical Insurance Bureau issued an emergency reminder, stating that this type of notice was not sent in the form of text messages. Please do not believe it.
"The business management text messages sent by the medical insurance department will never attach any URL, and the cardholder does not need to enter any personal privacy information involving name, ID number, bank account number, etc. Do not trust unfamiliar phone calls and text messages, and do not disclose personal social security card , password, ID number and other privacy information." Wang Mei, director of the Fund Operation Monitoring and Evaluation Center of Yunnan Provincial Medical Insurance Bureau, said.
Wang Mei introduced that since this year, it is not the first time that criminals have used "default on medical insurance card" and other related information to send fraudulent text messages. The content of the text message has also evolved from "your medical insurance card has been deactivated" to "your insured account has expired and will be disqualified from reimbursement." But no matter how the content of the fraud changes, the most important thing when receiving similar text messages is not to believe it, click it, and do not operate it. If the insured has questions about his personal account or needs to understand the relevant medical insurance policies, you must check it through official channels.
"There are three online methods. The first method is to enter the Yunnan medical insurance mini program for inquiries; the second method is to query through the official website of the medical insurance department; the third method is to call the service hotline publicly disclosed by the medical insurance department. The offline method requires the insured to bring his ID card and social security card , and go to the handling window of medical insurance departments at all levels to inquire and handle it." Wang Mei said.

Explanation of the law: medical insurance is mandatory and will not "lock the card" without verification.
In response to the recent fierce medical insurance fraud, Li Rui, partner and lawyer of Yunnan Shangshou Law Firm, said that these cases are relatively typical telecommunications network frauds in recent years that impersonate relevant government functional departments or relevant staff members and use citizens' trust in such state institutions. In recent years, with the development of technology and the use of a series of information technology, telecommunications and network fraud has been renovated and various, but it has never been separated from its roots. These methods and means will ultimately be attributed to "money".
In addition to medical insurance fraud, the most common ones include online shopping fraud, online ticket booking fraud, winning fraud, Trojan virus fraud, subsidy fraud, etc. These fraudulent methods can be prevented if the victim has a strong sense of identification and is highly vigilant about personal information and finance.
Medical insurance is mandatory as a social insurance. It is compulsory to participate in insurance based on the labor contract relationship. "Locking card" and other situations will not occur easily, and problems will be solved uniformly. Forced suspension of the insured person's medical insurance benefits will only occur if the insured person clearly violates the law or the rules. If the insured person is punished for illegal use of the social security card or illegal use, the parties will know in advance and will not be told to "deactivate" or "lock the card" without verification. In addition, the inability to reimburse in real time is mostly caused by untimely or interrupted medical insurance payments.
In addition, medical insurance is also cancelled. However, a relevant person in charge of the National Medical Insurance Administration said that canceling medical insurance certificates is an active behavior of the insured, and usually the insured person actively gives up the medical insurance relationship. In other words, if the medical insurance certificate is cancelled, the insured person himself must have known it and will not be cancelled by the relevant department without knowing it.
Previously, The Supreme People's Court , the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the Ministry of Public Security and other departments jointly issued the "Opinions on Several Issues Concerning the Application of Laws in Handling Criminal Cases such as Telecommunications Network Fraud", which clearly states that if the use of telecommunications network technology means to commit fraud, the value of public and private property is more than 3,000 yuan, the penalty can be imposed. If the value of public and private property is more than 500,000 yuan, the maximum life imprisonment can be imposed.
Li Rui reminds that if you are unfortunately cheated, please call the police immediately so that the public security organs can file a case as soon as possible; at the same time, pay attention to keeping relevant chat records, text message records, and transfer records, and collect and prepare evidence for future losses recovery. If you encounter a situation like this that requires cooperation in the name of a state agency, if you have any questions, it is recommended to directly verify on-site with the consultation window of the relevant government departments. Never cooperate with the other party to transfer or remit money without authorization without knowing the situation.
