Recently, since Türkiye officially announced the launch of the "Spring of Peace" military operation against Syrian Kurdish armed forces, the war in northeastern Syrian has been escalating. At first, the outside world has always believed that the Turkish army's operation was probably just a symbolic round of air strikes on the Ku national armed forces.
But unexpectedly, just 48 hours after the Turkish Army's "Source of Peace" operation was launched, Turkish President Erdogan suddenly announced that the Turkish Army's air raids had completely destroyed all established military targets. Therefore, the Turkish ground forces will currently penetrate at least 30 kilometers deep into Syria.
This means that the Turkish army's encirclement and suppression of Kurdish armed forces is not a small fight, and it is likely to evolve into a large-scale military occupation in the future. According to Turkish media reports, the Turkish army has eliminated at least 400 Kurdish militants, but so far, only one soldier has died of battle and one person has been injured.
From this point of view, the Turkish army's military operations against the Kurdish armed forces are still relatively smooth. The reason for this is probably the following three points: the first is sufficient preparations. It is said that the Turkish army mobilized 100,000 troops to participate in the war this time.
Secondly, the weapons and equipment are relatively sufficient and advanced. The F-16 fighter jets alone have been dispatched more than 100 times, and there are all heavy armored mechanized troops; thirdly, the key geographical location issues. From a strategic and tactical perspective, the Kurdish armed forces are more suitable for mountain warfare because there are many light weapons, but the areas where the Turkish army launched military operations this time were mostly plains.
So in theory, the lack of heavy weapons and air cover in hand Kurdish armed forces seem to have no ability to stop the Turkish army's attack in the area. Furthermore, Kurd has also tried to seek help from the United States, Russia, Syria and others before.
But unfortunately, Russia did not respond to this, and the US's attitude also disappointed Kurdish. It not only made it clear that it would not intervene in the Turkish army's operations, but the White House also publicly accused Kurdish of not helping the US military during World War II. On the contrary, the US military had fought side by side with the Kurdish armed forces before in order to protect their own land.
So, the United States does not owe anything to Kurd. Besides, there is the Syrian government. Its deputy foreign minister has publicly rejected Kurdish's request for help recently. He said bluntly: Kurdish betrays the country, and we will not provide any help to foreign agents.
To sum up, Kurds themselves are not strong enough and lack external help. So now they can only wait for death when facing the attack of a 100,000 Turkish army? In fact, it is not certain. If the Kurdish armed forces retreat without fighting at this time, the Turkish army will definitely have a second, third, or even fourth military operation in the future until it is completely wiped out.
On the contrary, if the Kurdish armed forces can try to lengthen the front line and wartime as much as possible, the deeper the distance between the Turkish army entering Syria, the greater the obstacles they encounter. For example, the change in attitudes of the United States, Russia and Syria, as well as European countries may bring a glimmer of hope.
In other words, Kurdish is the only chance to save the defeat now. Having said that, based on the current Kurdish troops and equipment, they are simply unable to fight against the Turkish army. What should I do? This is just like the call issued by the spokesperson of the Kurdish Workers' Party recently: I hope that all Ku people will take up weapons to fight against the Turkish army. If they lack troops, they will use female soldiers and if they are not equipped, they will be prepared to launch a long-term guerrilla war against the invaders!
Since then, it is said that 3,000 female Ku national soldiers have rushed to the front line, most of them are snipers and anti-tank soldiers who are experienced in many battles, and are ready to die. Regardless of gender, these soldiers who vow to defend their homeland will definitely cause great trouble to the Turkish army in the future, and Kurdish launches a people's war is exactly what Türkiye is most worried about!
