CS5266 is a high-performance type-C/DP1.4 to HDMI1.4b converter designed to connect a USB Type-C source or DP1.4 source to an HDMI1.4b receiver. CS5266 integrates a DP1.4-compatible receiver
HDMI2.0b compatible machine. In addition, two CC controllers are included for CC communication to implement DP Alt mode and power transmission functions, one for upstream Type-C ports and the other for downstream ports.
DP interface includes 2 main channels, auxiliary channels and HPD signals. The receiver supports 5.4Gbps (HBR2) data rates per channel. The DP receiver combines HDCP1.4 and HDCP2.3 content protection schemes with embedded keys for secure transmission of digital audio and video content.
HDMI interface includes 4 minimizing transmission differential signals clock/data pair, DDC and HPD signals. The HDMI machine is capable of supporting data rates up to 3Gpbs, which is sufficient to handle video resolution up to FHD 1080p 120Hz UHD 4k 30Hz format. The HDMI machine includes an HDCP engine that supports HDCP1.4 and HDCP2.3. Due to the HDCP included, CS5266AN allows secure transmission of protected content. Embedded keys provide the highest level of HDCP key security.
