Taiwan's "Women's Federation" founded by Soong Mei-ling in 1950 will be forcibly dissolved by the DPP authorities today (27th), and all assets of NT$39 billion (approximately RMB 9.2 billion) will be confiscated.
Comprehensive China Commentary Media and other media reports that the so-called "Party and Property Association" of the DPP authorities identified Taiwan's "Women's Federation" as the so-called "accompanimental organization" of the Kuomintang. Taiwan's internal affairs department required the "Women's Federation" to transform into a political party in 2019, but the "Women's Federation" decided not to transform. Therefore, the Taiwan internal affairs department gave a four-month correction period, with the 26th being the deadline, and the 27th will be ordered to dissolve and liquidate. In response to this, Lei Qian, chairman of the Taiwan Women's Federation, held a press conference on the 26th, emphasizing that the Taiwan Women's Federation is by no means the so-called "Korean Party affiliated organization" and there is no such thing as "improperty of party assets". Lei Qian said that the "Women's Federation" will not disappear.
Lei Qian said that the reason why the party was not established is because the "Women's Federation" is a completely public welfare group. It has been repeatedly discussed at the member congress whether a political party should be established. At that time, it was decided to continue to contribute to the society with a 61-9 gap. The very important consideration is that if the Taiwan Women's Federation formed a political party, no one would give any guarantee whether the Taiwan Women's Federation would continue to hunt down the Taiwan Women's Federation.
She made three appeals, if someone can guarantee that the Women's Federation can still carry out charity after becoming a political party and not be chased by the "Party Industry Association", of course, it can be considered, but if it cannot guarantee, the Women's Federation will rather maintain the tradition and purpose of many years and exercise "civilian disobedience."
Taiwan’s internal affairs department claimed that political groups should transform into political parties within two years, and also gave the Women’s Federation a 4-month buffer. The Women’s Federation has not completed its transformation, "It is time to end, it is time to end." In response, Kuomintang Chairman Jiang Qichen said at Kinmen on the 26th that this matter should not be handled only from a political perspective, but should be to restore the historical truth and pursue reconciliation, and not to make the people feel that this is a liquidation and struggle, which is not the result that everyone wants to see.

Taiwan media said that Taiwan's "Women's Federation" was established by Soong Mei-ling in April 1950. Its purpose is to unite women and take care of military families; later it will be converted to participate in social welfare and promote cross-strait peaceful exchanges and other natures. Public opinion on the island generally believes that the DPP authorities used the so-called "improperty of party assets" to purify the "Women's Federation" just to weaken the support of the blue camp.
Taiwan current affairs commentator Zheng Peifen believes that from the perspective of organizational structure, the Taiwan Women's Federation was almost on par with the Kuomintang at the beginning of its establishment. Most of its main cadres were the wives of the Kuomintang boss. Lee Teng-hui could not manage the Women's Federation when he served as the chairman of the Kuomintang, let alone the Kuomintang later. Therefore, the Taiwan Women's Federation could never be the so-called "Korean Party's affiliated organization." (Yi Sakura)
