Duke Kunshan University is located in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province. It is a non-profit Sino-US co-organized university founded by Duke University in the United States and Wuhan University in China. The school campus construction began in 2010 and officially ushered in the first batch of students in 2014.

The school adopts a more scientific evaluation method for the recruitment of Chinese undergraduate applicants.
The school will conduct comprehensive evaluation admissions in a 541 mode:
that is, the comprehensive evaluation results calculated based on the college entrance examination scores of the applicant (weight 50%*), the school’s independent comprehensive assessment (weight 40%, including a comprehensive assessment of the application materials and the performance of the applicant’s “campus day activities”), and the high school academic achievement test scores (weight 10%).
