Yumai Township, Longzi County, Shannan City, Tibet Autonomous Region is located in the southwestern border of the motherland. From 1964 to 1996, the Sanjie Quba family was the only family on this land. For more than half a century, Zhuoga and Yangzong grazed while patrolling the side under the leadership of their father Sanjie Quba. Someone once advised them: "Instead of staying here (Yuma), it is better to go outside and take a look." But Sanjie Quba has never wavered. He firmly guarded here. For him, Yumai is his hometown and does not go anywhere. Protecting his family is to defend the country.
After Sanjie Quba got older, the two daughters took over the baton and continued to take root in the snowy border, protecting the land of the motherland for thousands of square kilometers. In 2019, inspired by their spirit of guarding the border, Yumai Township welcomed a group of relocated households. Under the influence of the father and daughter, they also went to patrol the mountains. As time went by, more and more people joined the guarding group. From the former Sanren Township to the current border well-off demonstration township, more and more people have joined the mountain patrol team and guarded the border line of the motherland.
Inheriting the patriotic and border guarding
Decades of perseverance have allowed Zhuoga and Yangzong to see the great changes in their hometown: Yumai Township has built roads, power and networks, and primary schools have been built... Nowadays, with the construction of a well-off village, the lives of border people are getting better and better. After the promotion of tourism development, more and more people have come to Yumai Township to experience the inheritance of the patriotic and border guarding spirit here. The children of the two sisters Zhuoga and Yangzong also continued to inherit the spirit of patriotism and border guarding. After graduating from university, they returned to Yumai Township one after another and devoted themselves to the construction of their hometown.
