Lin Zhengsheng: I grew up in a remote village in Taiwan and have deep feelings for the traditional rural society. Because of the death of my mother, I developed a feeling of admiring women's motherhood from the feeling of missing my mother, and in the creation of movies, I paid special attention to the situation of traditional women in the old family.

Lin Zhengsheng: The scene of rural families in the old era is reproduced. We spent half a year growing vegetables, growing loofahs and climbing onto the sheds, raising dogs, cats, turkeys, and chickens. The chickens also raised eggs and hatching chickens. The film directing begins after letting these animals live completely naturally in the scene.
