23, the handover ceremony of China Petroleum donated anti-epidemic materials to the government of South Sudan was held in Juba , the capital of South Sudan. Chinese Ambassador to South Sudan Huaning, South Sudan’s Deputy Director of Petroleum Daniel, and Zhou Zuokun, Deputy General Manager of CNPC International Nile Company, attended the ceremony.
Ambassador Huaning said that the oil industry is the economic lifeline of South Sudan and the foundation for the development and progress of society and people's livelihood. Even in the armed conflict, PetroChina still firmly chose to work with the South Sudan government to adhere to oil field production and ensure the sustained and stable development of the South Sudan oil industry. Since the launch of China Southern Petroleum Cooperation, China National Petroleum Corporation has been committed to social welfare undertakings and actively fulfills its social responsibilities. It has successively donated to build the Oil District Friendship Hospital, Juba No. 3 Civilian Protection Institute, Juba University's electronic classroom, and provided professional oil training, etc. As the president unit of the China Chamber of Commerce in South Sudan, CNY International Nile will also organize the Chamber of Commerce to donate food and other materials to vulnerable groups in South Sudan affected by the epidemic. Huaning said that this donation is the fifth batch of aid provided by the Chinese government and enterprises to South Sudan, which once again reflects the social responsibility of the Chinese government and enterprises, as well as the deep friendship between the two peoples. I hope that this batch of materials can contribute to South Sudan's fight against the epidemic.
