According to China News Service, Taiwan's "Central News Agency" cited Taiwan's "Central News Agency", Dai Qian, chairman of Taiwan's "Central Oil" responded to the recent unqualified incident of unleaded gasoline on October 24, saying that Taiwan's "Central Oil" will bear compensation liability to consumers, join gas stations and affected car owners, with the estimated compensation amount reaching 2.6-2.7 billion yuan (NT$, the same below).

Recently, Taiwan's "Central Oil" No. 95 unleaded gasoline mixed with light oil has quality problems. Experts speculate that 200,000 to 300,000 cars and motorcycles should be victimized.
Dai Qian said on the 24th that for the unqualified oil product in No. 95, Taiwan’s “Central Oil” will compensate the three major groups.
The first type of compensation target is consumers who purchased unqualified oil products at gas stations from October 1 to October 21, and the oil products are handled by "return one and get one free" method.
General Manager of CNPC Li Shunqin added that after testing, the compensation for consumers was determined to be 41,000 liters of unqualified oil. Based on the estimated price of 1 liter, about 31.5 yuan, the total price of unqualified oil reached 1.2 billion yuan. Due to the adoption of the "refund one and get one" plan, the compensation amount reached about 2.5 billion yuan.
Dai Qian pointed out that the second type of compensation target is Taiwan's "Central Oil" franchise gas station. Due to the cooperation with the suspension of oil products, there will be business losses in the franchise gas station during this period, and Taiwan's "Central Oil" will take responsibility.
The third type of compensation target is the car owner. Adding unqualified oil products may cause the car's instrument to be ineffective. Dai Qian said that as long as the car owner applies, a third-party group will verify it, and Taiwan's "Central Oil" will compensate according to the damage to the car.
