In order to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourse spirit on promoting the excellent traditional Chinese culture, spread intangible cultural heritage knowledge and skills, create a happy, peaceful and festive Chinese New Year atmosphere, enhance the people’s ideological concepts of cognizing traditions, respecting traditions, inheriting traditions, and promoting traditions, and enhancing their sense of identity and pride for the excellent traditional Chinese culture, at 10 am on February 15 (the fifteenth day of the first lunar month), the Zhang Ruiling Paper-cutting Art Exhibition, hosted by Hebei Folk Artists Association, Shijiazhuang Folk Artists Association, and Xingtang County Culture and Tourism Bureau, and hosted by Xingtang County Cultural Center, was officially launched in the Art Exhibition Hall on the fourth floor of the County Cultural Center.
A total of more than 70 works were exhibited in this art exhibition, covering the representative works of Mr. Zhang Ruiling, a representative inheritor of the city-level intangible cultural heritage of Xingtang paper-cutting, in various periods. The works are divided into three parts according to the subject matter: the good country, the beautiful hometown, and the joy of life. The conception is clever, the design is unique, simple and natural, and full of life interest.

County Government Deputy County Mayor Zhen Zeliang attended and delivered a speech, summarizing the characteristics and inheritance of paper-cutting skills in our county, and affirming the contributions made by Teacher Zhang Ruiling in the inheritance and promotion of paper-cutting skills. Yang Rongguo, chairman of the Hebei Folk Artists Association, delivered a affectionate speech, analyzed the design, layout, techniques, and colors of Teacher Zhang Ruiling's works, and gave a very high evaluation of the style and characteristics of the works. At the event site of the
event, Zhen Zeliang had a cordial discussion and exchanged experiences with Yang Rongguo, Chairman of the Hebei Provincial Federation of People's Political Consultative Conference, provincial and municipal experts, as well as folk artists and cultural figures in our county. With her superb skills and dedicated research, her works have gradually formed the characteristics of novel and simple content, colorful colors, delicate and neat knife skills, rough and powerful lines, and realistic and vivid images. The art exhibition attracted many paper-cutting enthusiasts to come. The prosperous paper-cutting embodies people's yearning for a better life. The onlookers expressed their amazement at the exquisiteness of paper-cutting works, and at the same time they also developed a strong interest in paper-cutting art.
