cannot grab the idol’s concert tickets, and many fans will seek help from the "scalper". Previously, Tan from Xiangtan paid a deposit of 1,600 yuan in advance for asking for votes and booked a good location. Unexpectedly, after the money was paid, he was immediately blocked by the "scalper".
Recently, the People's Procuratorate of Xiangtan City, Yuetang District, , approved the arrest of the criminal suspect Hao in accordance with the law on suspicion of fraud.
After review: at around 13:00 on July 8, 2018, the suspect Hao searched for the keyword "seeking tickets" on Weibo through his Weibo account, and found information about the victim Tan located in Xiangtan area asking for tickets to a concert, and then he focused on Tan. The suspect lied that he had tickets for sale. After the two added each other as WeChat friends, the victim Tan proposed to buy two tickets. The suspect Hao said that his ticket was very good, and he asked for 2,000 yuan per ticket, and asked to pay a deposit of 1,600 yuan first. Tan was eager to ask for the ticket, so he transferred 1,600 yuan to the suspect Hao through WeChat. The suspect Hao then blocked the victim Tan from the contact person. The victim Tan never received the ticket and realized that he had been deceived, so he immediately called the police. After investigation, it was found that the suspect Hao also defrauded the other two victims of 1,500 yuan and 2,000 yuan in the same way on May 7, 2018 and May 21, 2018, respectively, and defrauded others of 5,100 yuan in total.
According to Article 266 of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China, if the amount is large, the person shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years, detention or control, and shall be fined or fined alone. If the amount is huge or there are other serious circumstances, he shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years and not more than ten years and shall be fined.
Attorney reminds that fans should not only beware of scalper tickets when calling idols, but also keep their eyes open for caution. For example, the fraudsters in this case must purchase tickets through formal channels to avoid being deceived.
