Okinawa Ending family to get permanent residence in Japan for three years
Hong Kong family, how can we obtain permanent resident status in Japan in three years?
There are different visas to immigrate to Japan. Unwritten regulations allow you to apply for permanent residence after living for 10 years. If the visa is highly specialized, or you have enough scores to shorten to one year before applying. Are there any successful examples? Yes, we are. It took us a total of three and a half years to obtain permanent residence (it could have been half a year earlier). Next we will share our experience. Compared to immigrating to the United States and Canada, immigration to Japan or to Japan is relatively cheaper. You don’t need to invest million dollars, and you don’t need to have a very high annual income. But you really have to work hard and you can't buy it with money.
first explains the difference between permanent residence and ordinary residence visa. Ordinary stay-on-site visas are usually granted for one to five years. There are many restrictions. For example, you cannot engage in a job that has not been declared to be a company that has not been declared to be a company that has not been declared to be a company that has been declared to be a management company (need to apply or apply), you cannot be a company representative (you can be an investor), and you cannot work in a regulated place, such as karaoke, or Round One entertainment venue. If the investment visa needs to be transferred to the business model, you must first report to the National Administration. There is also a limit on the number of entry and exit days every year. If you leave the country for too long, the government will question the need for visas and need to explain it to them (we have employees who have been away for too long and are called to inquire by the government). There are also some unshakable restrictions: for example, banks generally do not lend to people who do not have permanent residence rights to buy real estate; some land is only sold to Japanese and permanent residence people (usually sold by the government, and the price is relatively cheap). It’s as simple as renting a residence. If the visa is only one year, many owners will refuse it. For permanent residents, there are no restrictions above, and the biggest "restriction" is that they need to go back to Japan once a year. Very reasonable!
"Applying for permanent residence requires good conduct and no criminal record. Normally, 1 to 2 ordinary traffic fouls will not affect it; but if you keep illegal parking and have received many fine tickets in the past 1 to 3 years, then you have the chance to be rejected for permanent residence, because the management will measure "you are not a law-abiding person." Of course, the most important thing is to pay taxes: the Japanese government does not welcome those who have no contributions, including those who miss the taxes. So on the day you enter Japan, all your actions have the opportunity to affect the success rate of Yongyuan application. ”
Mom is not a university professor or high-tech researcher, she uses a highly dedicated identity as a management technician. This qualification is actually easier to achieve than a highly specialized position in university professors and management. It’s just that it has been implemented for a few years and many people don’t understand it.
is not difficult to come to Japan. How to stay forever is the knot in our hearts along the way. In the first year, my mother also worked for her employer like an ordinary working visa. For children, there is no problem of adapting. They are like cockroaches! There is no difference between Japanese and English environments, and languages for them. They will automatically learn to communicate if they feel the need is needed. They don’t have the burden of adults and are not “fearing to be shy”.
Because my father likes diving too much, he has the idea of starting a business. But our visa does not allow us to be the representative of the company, so we and our Japanese friends founded Hikki, an Okinawa-based diving company. I didn’t expect that this company will bring permanent protection to our lives, not money.
Sometimes, due to the shortage of working population, the Japanese parliament has launched or revised new visa plans almost every year, and the regulations are gradually relaxed. Conditions were implemented in 2016! Before 2017, "highly dedicated jobs" required to live for five years before applying for permanent residence. It was relaxed to one or three years in April 2017. Because using this visa, it is very attractive to apply for permanent residence soon, which makes many people suddenly start searching for this visa. In fact, after settling in Japan, we didn’t want to leave. My mother often searches for information online, reads different administrative book scholars' web pages, and is diligent in checking visas and live information about foreigners in Japan. (If you want to leave, you must make efforts!). For "highly dedicated", blogs in Chinese or Japanese are rarely mentioned, and the information is basically the most detailed page you open by yourself. At that time, few successful examples were still written.
When I knew that this visa existed, it was already the end of 2017! It was almost half a year late to find out that it was very stupid! My mother immediately inquired with the administrative clerk who was entrusted at that time, and the other party admitted that she had never done it once, so she had no experience. However, because of my mother's inquiry, they also helped her score and said that it had exceeded 70 points! Mom started to prepare the application documents! The proof of
seniority part has been planned for a long time. I have always been hesitating in which direction to head. It has been a month since I decided which direction. After that, the most worrying thing was to contact past employers, obtain the job certificate at that time, explain to them why they needed it, and what they wanted to write to the proof of work.
In order to increase some security factors: the most feasible thing in front of us is to cooperate with market demand and do better in Qingqian. Because the high-level professional position is still linked to a sponsor company, the company's financial reports must also be submitted at the same time. During this period, my parents were really exhausted physically and mentally. I have even less time with Mia than in Hong Kong. It's really tiring, which is very different from our original intention of moving to Okinawa. The remaining scores such as university and Japanese are a foregone conclusion.
7 to 8 months later, my mother repeatedly calculated, including adding the seniority scores of the Qingqian Company, and after having enough safety factors, she decided to apply in July 2018!
thought to myself, if the application is not approved: then whether it is 3 years or 10 years, time passes quickly!
In July 2018, I officially applied for the [Highly Specialized Job No. 1 b] visa. It was really given priority and approved within a week. In this way, my father will be exempted from working hours limit. My mother found out when she really had to fill out the highly specialized score sheet (and then Google for a while): If she could prove that she had scored 80 a year ago, she could already apply for permanent residence! But because I found it too suddenly and I didn’t have time to calculate it anymore, so I should apply for a highly specialized position first before calculating it. After all, the documents required for Yongzhu application were not understood at the time.
The next step is the [permanent resident] visa! The rules for Yongzhu qualification review have always been mysterious information. It is even more necessary to search for information: under what conditions will be approved and what is the reason for failure! Mom looked at Case studies crazy. Because there are not many people who obtain each year, there is very little related information. Even the administrative clergyman has little experience! However, the general administrative book scholar website will list the conditions for entry and management and explain them in detail, and then tell you that you cannot take the wrong steps, which will make you feel very difficult, and thus prompt you to find someone to do it and reduce the risk of failure. Although
has enough scores, it is too vain. Is it that simple? I have always realized that it is very, very difficult to immigrate to Japan! Have the right to apply, but it does not mean that you will definitely approve it.
application is available, but the plan before application (time schedule for each step) is a bigger difficulty! First of all, you need to find a body (background) guarantor who is willing to recommend it to you. Unlike individual or company guarantors, they can never withdraw after signing the guarantee letter, and the guarantor of the body will be related to the applicant's name for life. If the applicant commits a crime or is not in a proper manner, the guarantor will be stained. For example, at the national level, this body guarantor cannot be a body guarantor for a second foreign friend = the guarantee that the state considers his guarantee is unreliable. If the applicant is deported from the country through the law, then the guarantor of the body must ensure that he has enough funds to buy a plane ticket and send it away. But in addition to this, the guarantor of the Sinyuan does not need to help the applicant bear any debt liability!
Because Japanese people are generally very sensitive to the three words "guarantor" (yes, many people are dragged into the water after helping their friends as financial guarantors, and are entangled in debts that are not their own business for their lives! There are many such stories, so many people are afraid to be guarantors). You need to explain the responsibilities, obligations and risks of the guarantors themselves.
submits the application for permanent residence. The guarantor must submit his own in-service certificate (proving that he has always had a legitimate career and income), tax payment status (providing him with a certificate of obedient tax payment), and some personal information and stamps. If he wants to apply for a job certificate from the company, the company will also ask for the purpose (my mother’s friend’s company will help her analyze and say that it should be no problem to be a guarantor of my body! Imagine if that company conservatively opposes, then your friend may also reject you). These documents only have a validity period of 3 months. Once they expire, they will not accept them if they enter the management department. So it is very important to plan a schedule!
Mom never likes asking someone, so she had to bite the bullet and ask her good friend! We took advantage of the fact that we were just in Tokyo and sincerely asked a friend to come out and ask her. Fortunately, this mother agreed to my friend whom she had met in the UK 20 years ago! After receiving her information 2 months later (my mother promised her that she would never read the content, so she was actually afraid that her friends would miss something), and we were still a little nervous. Because if it fails, you need to ask your friend for help submitting the information again, which will be very troublesome to your friend. Finally, we delayed the information before submitting it almost expired.
If you want to apply for permanent residence in Japan in the future, the following are the things you need to do now, and you will regret it when you want to apply. Here are some of our experiences:
must have a good behavior record. Don't be lucky. Since we decided to live forever, we were even very careful in driving. Never park on the side of the road when going out. Many administrative clerks on the Internet mentioned that the number of fines and contents of traffic will be checked with the police station when entering the management. For example, accidental driving, drunk driving, or illegal parking and fines will be found. We received two illegal parking fines 1 to 2 years ago, which also made us worried for a while. Those who drive while drunk will be more serious and will really affect the application for permanent residence! So, just be a law-abiding person!
All taxes need to be paid on time. Some people have been rejected forever after handing in late (with records). (Before reapply, you must pay on time for at least half a year and write a reflection article to prove that you have regretted it and are actually a good citizen!) Because the prerequisite is good character! (Indeed, my mother is too busy and she doesn't go to a convenience store or queues up in the bank and has handed it in a few times late, which makes her frightened and scared herself!) If the examiner feels that you have not abide by the law properly, they can use this as a reason to reject your application. Of course they take the slightestness, so my mother was not asked (sweat!) and she had to respect Japanese culture when she moved here. Outsiders need to do enough or even better.
After starting to live, try your best to integrate into Japanese society and make more Japanese friends. It is true that you rely on friends when you go out! Because in the end you need a Japanese friend (or a permanent resident) to be your body guarantee. When I applied, I realized that I didn’t have a local friend around me, and I regretted it too much. Friendship also takes time to build! I met you only last month, and I can guarantee that he will not help you. (I heard that many people will ask their boss for help.)
said online that the approval time is about 3 to 6 months, and some situations may be longer. During this period, it is really hard to sleep or eat. I have even been mentally prepared for failure. Month after month, almost three months later, when we were about to set off to the airport and return to Hong Kong to attend the book fair, we received a notice from the Administration! At that moment, my mother had goosebumps! That kind of excitement will never be forgotten in this life! Have you succeeded? Or are you missing any documents?
Because we need to hurry to go to the airport and have no time to collect it. I had to call to check. The voice trembled and called at home. Sorry, we cannot tell the results on the phone. Call again before boarding the plane at the airport to explain the situation and see if it is comfortable. Sorry, we really can't tell the results on the phone. Different people answered the answer and received an official reply: Even if you write it, you may not be able to obtain it.You have to come here in person to tell you the content! After the phone call, my back was cold. It should be successful, but I’m not sure! The worst thing is that we will not come back 10 days later, and the result will not be announced after 10 days! During these ten days in Hong Kong/Thailand, I fully understand what an ant on a hot pan is!
After getting off the plane in Okinawa, he went home and lowered his luggage. The three of them immediately rushed into the management bureau with their tired bodies! mom! We really succeeded! We have obtained permanent residence! But the joy in our hearts was not shown to our faces at all! Because I didn't sleep on the plane the night before! My mother's ankle joint was sprained, and Le Tao was super narrow and couldn't sleep, and it hurts! And it's really too tiring. It's really not good to be old! (The staff in charge should be very surprised why this family did not show any ecstatic expression. Very cool!). To announce good news to friends and family, only one friend who has lived in Japan can understand the key point of Guanzhong: Obtaining permanent residence = Obtaining freedom! We can run the company alone! We can ask the bank to buy a house with a loan! (When we came to Okinawa, we were alone and had no assets! Just with hope for the future!) We no longer have work restrictions!
