Here comes a new concept of "steel price ratio", which is a cost-effective type, namely, the body strength, stiffness, steel quality and weight purchased per unit price. Volvo has been insisting on the engine placing horizontally for safety collapse. Fortunately, this generation of XC90 finally completely gave up the 6 cylinders, which is considered a hero who cut off his arm and deserves admiration. I have been paying attention to Volvo since the S40 era. Later, I bought the V60 and today's XC90. I have never thought that Volvo's 6-cylinder would be a selling point. XC90 has many careful small designs that you need to slowly use during use, or "accidentally learn" when chatting with original engineers. The Swedes really don't like to "talk while doing", just give a few examples:

When I first started cleaning the windshield of this car, I found that the windshield was wet and cleaned, but I couldn't see where the water was sprayed out. When I sprayed the third time, I found that the nozzle should be on the wiper, and I brushed it while spraying, which was very neat. A friend told me that Volvo took great pains to do this for safety, because it can "maximumly not interfere with driving vision", awesome!

But my automatic steering control that has not yet been opened for full speed domain, and it will have to manually take over the steering wheel after more than 50km/h. However, lane keeping assistance is effective at high speed. If you really fall asleep on the high speed, the car will not go to the adjacent lane. It will run along the lane line and constantly remind you with sound and vibration. Volvo's automatic assisted driving is quite "old driver" in terms of algorithms and intervention. If my car comes with the kind of full-speed automatic assisted driving that will be launched later, I would probably be reluctant to sell it for another two years.

As a former tuning engineer, evaluating Volvo's tuning is a very reluctant thing, because after opening a lot of BBAPs, Volvo compared the core system tuning with them, which is tantamount to showing off.

says chassis adjustment, without control fun, without flexible direction; NVH adjustment, that is, BBA is one level lower than that; gearbox adjustment, smoothness is slightly poor, and gear-up strategy is not smart enough, and gear-up is sometimes uneven when lifting and down, and I still don’t understand the rules until now. After changing to transmission oil , I still look the same after re-learning, but fortunately it is not obvious. I can only notice the whole car. When asking my wife and children, they are all "no feeling", and I feel depressed! Later, when I watched the videos of big Vs, I found that they were common characteristics, so I gave up.

I usually drive within 1/3 of the throttle opening, and I rarely have the chance to exceed 110km/h on highways;

However, the powertrain NVH at low speeds is obviously lost to BBA. For this reason, it is rare to see the engine working below 1300rpm. Unless you start ECO mode (that won't show the speed anymore), the vibration and stuffiness of the ECO mode will be more obvious.Many competitors can reach about 1100rpm or even around 1000rpm. The driving is still smooth and the skills are immediately high.

) The slope assist has no "containment" and is the best slope adjustment I have ever driven. It is recommended that OEMs that have not been well prepared to buy one to study. I have found several XC90 owners to verify that they are not an isolated case.
