At the junction of Guangning and Huaiji in Zhaoqing City, Guangdong, there is a giant dragon-like mountain that hides in the deep boudoir and no one knows it. Only by driving on the Shankun Expressway between Fenggang and Yangshan Yangshan Yangmei will someone give it a glimpse.

Check the map and learn that this long mountain is called Lengwending, which belongs to part of the spiral shell mountain range. The highest peak cold urn top is 1351 meters above sea level. On the long ridge line of the cold urn top, there are four thousand-meter peaks: Shizhushan , Pot Cave Top , Xianrentai and Yaying Mountain, which form an exciting and magnificent ridge line.

Among them, the immortal platform is also called the stone platform top. It is not the highest, nor the most famous, but it is the most mysterious independent mountain. Whenever strange peaks and rocks appear faintly in the clouds, they appear even more fairy-like and fascinating. Hiker Aqi said that the Immortal Platform may be the most beautiful mountain he has ever climbed.

In order to uncover the mystery of the immortal platform, we drove to Lianhua Village under the jurisdiction of Huiai Village Committee, Chikeng Town, Guangning County. Lianhua Village is located at the bottom of the valley on the southern foot of Lengwending, and is the base camp of the Immortal Platform. Night had already fallen, and we set up a tent to camp in the basketball court in front of the village.
Most hikers climb the immortal platform from Zhugaogang Village next to Lianhua Village. They first climb the immortal platform along the mountain trail, then cut across the top of the pot lid along the ridge line, and finally reach the top of the cold urn and then retreat from Lianhua Village. This small ring line has a total of 13 kilometers, with a total climb of 1,164 meters, which takes about 8 hours.
But in order to save time and energy, we plan to drive the four-wheel drive off-road vehicle to a granite quarry at an altitude of 1080 meters and take a shortcut. We have always been our pursuit to take the most time-saving and labor-saving method to climb mountains.

Granite quarry is located at the eastern foot of Yaying Mountain, with an altitude of 1,080 meters. It is directly accessible by sand and soil roads. Ordinary urban SUVs can also be driven up. It was just that the ore trucks crushed back and forth, and the road surface was extremely dusty, and the body of the car was covered in dust in a short while.
Parked the car in the open space in front of the quarry workers' dormitory, and the quarry workers warmly greeted us to go in and have tea and breakfast. They said that occasionally people would go up the mountain from the quarry, but most people would go up the mountain from the Lotus Village and would not take this route.
Departing from the quarry to the Xianrentai, the one-way is only 2 kilometers, and the cumulative climb is no more than 300 meters. Do you feel it is particularly easy? After packing our luggage, we immediately went into the mountain. After walking another two hundred meters of mechanized farming, you have to go up the mountain from the small path on the left. If you are not familiar with the route, it is best to download the track in advance.
The road trace is not very obvious, especially after entering the bamboo forest trail, due to the bamboo leaves covering it, the road trace is often not distinguished. Fortunately, we downloaded the track in advance and took out our mobile phones to compare the track from time to time, so we would definitely not get lost.
Generally speaking, when we take an immature mountaineering route, we will cut some branches with a knife while we are walking, leaving marks along the way. The advantage of this is that even if you get lost in the mountains, as long as you find these marks, you will definitely find the way back. Especially in foggy weather.
There are dense forests all the way, and the field of view is very unbroad. Fortunately, I walked up the ridge line half an hour later. The ridge line is full of giant granite stones. We must use our hands and feet together, turn on the "four-wheel drive" mode, and keep climbing up and down between the stones before we can continue to move forward.
Of course, some granite boulders are astonishingly large, and the stones are round and there is no place for any grasping. In this case, you can only retreat for a short period of time and then go around from the side of the boulder.
Sometimes you can’t find the road as you walk, because it’s difficult to leave footprints on the stones. At this time, you must carefully inspect the terrain and finally find that you must crawl forward from the cave in the middle of the stone and carefully drill through it.
This long mountain range is composed of granite. It has been eroded by millions of years of wind and rain. These granite stones have been polished to be as smooth as eggs, making it difficult to find a place to grasp. So sometimes you have to borrow strength from the branches next to the stone to climb up bravely.
kept flashing between Stonehenge, and we walked for an hour and a half in just 2 kilometers. Fortunately, I successfully arrived at the legendary immortal platform. The clouds dissipated, and the strange Stonehenge lifted the mysterious veil, all of which were presented to us.
visibility is getting higher and higher. So the drone was raised and the immortal platform was looked at from different angles. At our feet, there was a natural stone platform of hundreds of square meters. This huge circular stone platform is so regular that even if we hire the best skilled craftsman in the world, it would be difficult to carve it.

Around the immortal platform, there are also many strange-shaped granite giant stones, like eagle beaks, giant pythons; like fat pigs, like stone people; like stone eggs, like stone platforms; various shapes, wonderful and vivid. These granite stones are huge in size, each weighing hundreds of thousands of tons!
Over the years, the editor has climbed many famous peaks composed of granite as the main body, such as Sanqingshan , Huangshan , Taishan . These peaks are also very beautiful, but unfortunately they have all been developed into tourist attractions. The Immortal Terrace has almost a magnificent scenery comparable to the famous mountains in the United States, but it is still kept in the deep boudoir and no one knows it.

The immortal platform is just an independent mountain, which is already dazzling and beautiful. In fact, there are countless granite stones scattered on this long ridgeline. I think it would be great if I could build a tourist boardwalk along this ridgeline and keep walking easily.
stayed in Xianrentai for more than an hour, and I really couldn't bear to leave. After that, continue along the ridge and head towards the top of another independent mountain pot lid. The top of the pot cover is not far from the immortal platform, it takes only 20 minutes to walk to arrive.
There are also many huge granite stones piled up on the top of the pot lid, which looks like a huge pot lid from a distance, and hence the name. The height of the pot cover top and the immortal platform is about 1,218 meters. Overall, the fairy table is much more beautiful than the top of the pot lid.

The top of the cold urn is towering and majestic, with a super big cliff similar to Huashan . Due to time constraints, we couldn't get through this time, so we returned from the top of the pot cover.

Backhaul is actually not an easy task, because it is too difficult to move forward and how difficult it is to return. We still need to flick and walk around between Stonehenge. Fortunately, the vision and the scenery along the way completely offset the hardships and fatigue of the climbing process.
Another hour and a half before walking to the granite quarry. On the way back, it was already sunset. Looking back, the cold jar in the afterglow of the sunset is so mysterious. I think I will come again and I will definitely reach the top of the main peak next time!
