is first mentioned in front.
This year, the winter in Europe is cold and long. So at the end of April, the Dutch flowers bloomed in spring but froze to death. The Dutch April day and other things have no romantic feeling. Please imagine that lz was hit by hail three times in one day ==
Due to laziness, the travel notes of Christmas and Spain only wrote the first four days, Easter Belgium France and Switzerland tour at all. Given that the four-day trip to the Netherlands is relatively short and concise, I think I will probably not be unfinished, Wangtian... The
visa was approved before, and it was given a year, so I don’t have to apply for a visa alone this time~ I can finally experience the trip where I bought a plane ticket and just walk! KLM, £75 for traveling to Amsterdam from Manchester , it feels cheap and explosive. After all, KLM is not like a low-cost luggage that has restrictions on booking seats and does not give you food and drinks. But because I stayed at the home of Rotterdam in the Netherlands and had no reservations for accommodation, I felt that I had been checked for my passport when I entered and exited the schipol airport for a long time.
The flight from the UK to the Netherlands is like an intercity, it arrives in about an hour, and it is faster than when I get home from the airport! I set out early in the morning on the 23rd and returned on the evening on the 26th. In fact, it was four days. The focus of this itinerary is to go to Keukenhof to see tulips, and to The Hague for a walk, so I basically fulfilled my expectations two days ago. I went there with the mentality of walking around and taking a look at the next itinerary, including Amsterdam.
I stayed in Rotterdam for the four days and three nights.
In terms of transportation in the Netherlands, cities rely on NS trains, and city traffic is by walking or track. The map depends on Google map, and the number of trains is 9292. In fact, you can also find the train number with Google Map, but 9292 can help you calculate the cost of this trip, which is convenient for comparing the prices of different trains with no access to transportation modes.
If you can get enough group tickets with ten people with others, the round-trip train ticket is only 7 euros, which is particularly cheap. Or you can buy it at the train station’s ticket vending machine, which can be purchased one-way or round trip. The ov card is a transportation card in the Netherlands and is suitable for all city traffic and trains. However, the ticket vending machine, including the ov card recharge machine, does not collect banknotes, only cards or coins are accepted. However, if it is not a bank card in the Netherlands (I guess), VISA and MASTER will charge an additional 0.5 euros handling fee. When the ov card balance is greater than 20 euros, you can directly swipe the card to enter the train station without buying a ticket. If there is no ov card in the city, you have to buy a 3 euro ticket, but if you swipe the ov card, you will charge according to the range of the bus (this is the same as in China). In addition, the Dutch trains can be freely boarding and getting off at at the intermediate station, and there will be no additional charges. But most ticket checks will be checked whether it is a bus or a train, especially on the bus, so don’t evade tickets easily.
Speaking of bank cards, I have to say that if you travel to Europe, some places of magnetic stripe cards may not be used, so it is best to bring a chip card.
I used my phone 5s and camera Xiaohei RX100 to take pictures. After that, I also used snapseed or instagram to adjust the color on my phone.
Now the day is getting longer, and the Manchester City Airport map is at around 5 a.m. The Netherlands will not set until nine o'clock in the evening.
When flying over the Netherlands, you can see that the Dutch grass is flat in the Netherlands
This is completely different from the UK. Although the UK is also a green grass, it is divided into small pieces by trees. The photo was taken in the sunset of the return trip was around 7 o'clock in the UK time.
The weather changes in the Netherlands faster than in the UK, with sunny days, strong winds, cloudy, light rain, hail seamlessly. When I went, I caught up with the cold current, which was even colder than in winter
The land of the Netherlands seen on the plane actually gave me the most intuitive impression of the Netherlands - green grass, lowlands, flatness, and waterways are arranged neatly and orderly.
Schipol Airport is very big, and after getting off the plane, I entered the waiting hall. There was no special passage to bring people to the entry window. As soon as LZ came out, he went in the wrong direction and almost got lost in the airport! However, the airport has a complete range of duty-free shops, including Mac stores, La Mer and so on.There are also many Dutch souvenirs, including tulip flowers and seeds! After entering the country, you can still see many small shops at the airport, which can basically meet all shopping needs.
There is a train station when you leave the airport. You can take a direct trip to the center of Amsterdam or go to other cities. When I went there, it was a good time to enjoy the flowers at Keukenhof Park , so there was also a special direct bus to Keukenhof. The round trip ticket + park ticket was 24 euros, and the time was about half an hour. I can also take a look at the scenery along the way, which makes me feel that the scenery in the Netherlands is much more beautiful than I imagined, and is a combination of rural natural scenery and exquisite architecture.
Day 1 Keukenhof and Leiton
Because they didn’t wait for their luggage, they went straight to Keukenhof after leaving the airport. It was less than nine o’clock when they arrived at the park. At this time, there were already many people in the park. They took a map from the entrance and started shopping.
Kekenhof is really beautiful when flowers bloom. In addition to tulips of various colors and postures, there are also daffodils, hyacinths and cherry blossoms, etc., and the lake, the hasty water, which contrasts with the trees that have just emerged with tender green branches and leaves. It is not an exaggeration to say that he is in a fairyland.
But as mentioned earlier, the weather in the Netherlands is really bad to a certain extent. It took less than half an hour to enter the park, and the wind and rain began to get mixed, and the weather quickly became cloudy. I chose Saturday to go to Keukenhof because there was an annual float parade this day. The official schedule said that the time to pass by Keukenhof was 3:30 pm. However, when I walked from the entrance to the other end of the park, it was only half past ten. Do you have to stay in the park for another 5 hours?
In the end, I didn't wait for the float. After eating on the lawn, I took photos and dawdled for a long time, I decided to leave, go to Leiden first, and then go back to Rotterdam.
Leiden is right between Keukenhof and Rotterdam. You can get off at this station with your ticket to Rotterdam. Then I stored my small box for 3.5 euros at the station and went to the city.
I don’t know if it’s because of the weekend. There are very few people on the streets and it feels a bit deserted. I also transferred to Leiden University, which was also very quiet. However, I bought interesting refrigerator stickers in an open souvenir shop, all in the shape of Dutch architecture, one with coffeeshop and the other with Dutch characteristics haha. After that, I quickly turned back to the train station and continued to move towards Rotterdam!
Day2 The Hague and Delft
Because I didn’t sleep at night when I rushed to the plane the day before, I woke up naturally on that day. It was past eleven o’clock when I set out to The Hague.
I bought a round trip ticket to The Hague at the rotterdam centraal station, about ten euros. It should be mentioned that the rotterdam blaak station only has a ticket vending machine but no ov card recharge machine.
Rotterdam to The Hague is very fast and it arrives in less than an hour.
My itinerary is as follows: the first stop is the Mauritshuis Museum, after coming out, I walked through the Binnenhof inner court, then walked through the bustling commercial street in the city center, went to , Peace Palace , and then the Little People Kingdom. From the gate of Little People Kingdom, I took the tram to Scheveningen Beach, and finally took the tram from the sea to return to the train station.
Museum tickets are 14 euros, and student tickets are 11 euros. If you have a museum card, you can enter for free. If you need to save a bag, you can take photos. The Dutch museum card costs more than 50 euros per year. You can go to museums of all sizes in the country. If you want to go to more than a few museums, it is quite cost-effective to get one.
Dutch museums are very interesting, and the introduction is very detailed. They will tell you the background of the painting and where it is good. You can learn about important exhibits without renting an explanation. In this regard, it is better than the museums in Britain, Spain and France that I have seen!
Looking at the paintings in the museum hundreds of years ago, and comparing the photos I took, I really feel that there seems to be no change in the past few hundred years. Clouds are still like that, and buildings are still like that.
The small square I saw from the inner court was a bit deserted because it was Sunday. The Palace of Peace seems to be unable to enter, so I took a photo outside and continued to leave.
There is a lovely sign on the street.
Although the temperature is low, the tender green branches and leaves still look very spring-like
When you arrive at the beach. Because it is close to the sea, there are a lot of seagulls . Moreover, these seagulls are not afraid of people but are also very fierce. When they see "food", they will take the initiative to attack hahaha. Someone was eating a hot dog, and a seagull rushed down and took it away, attracting a group of seagulls to chase it; while flying, the meat sausage in the middle of the hot dog fell to the ground, attracting more seagulls to compete. But things are in less than a minute, but they are very intense.
I don’t know if it is because of the beach, the sea water is not very clean and it is covered with yellow foam. There is a glass corridor that extends all the way to the sea, with various small shops inside. You can also ask some food and drink to sit down and take a look at the sea without worrying about the demonic wind by the sea.
After a while, I took the tram back to the train station and took the return train with the round-trip ticket card.
As I wrote before, the Dutch train can freely get on and off the middle station, so I got off at the delft that I must pass. Delft is famous for producing the Dutch blue-white porcelain delft blue.
I think this may be my favorite city in the Netherlands, small and exquisite. Her river channel is not wide, narrow but has a unique charm. Although Em and Leiden also have rivers, the wide river surface makes me unable to feel the charm of water. The steeplet building you can see behind
is the old church, and the opposite of Delft Town Hall is the new church. It is only a ten-minute walk between the two. I feel that this distance should be almost the essence of this city.
0 It was dark at nine o'clock in the Netherlands. Although it was already seven o'clock and it was still bright, the store was closed because of the weekend. I couldn't go to the porcelain store. I left with regrets.
Day3 Amsterdam
Because I saw on the guide that there were many people queuing up in the two museums in Amsterdam, I set out from Rotterdam early in the morning. It took about two hours to go with the bus and train on the way, and it was almost ten o'clock when I arrived at Van Gogh Museum . At this time, the queue for buying tickets was quite long. I didn't want to line up, so I decided to go to the National Museum, which is said to be less queuing. Another reason for doing this is that both museums can buy tickets online, so I decided to buy tickets for the Van Gogh Museum online while walking, so that after visiting the National Museum, you can immediately visit the Van Gogh Museum with your ticket.
The two museums are very close to each other and only five minutes to walk. As a result, I found a museum shop halfway through. When I got closer, I could actually buy tickets to the two museums. Although there was a small team, there were really not many people!
looks like this.
But this place only accepts cards, and cash is not possible. In fact, if you are more confident in your schedule, it is better to buy tickets online directly, but I often walk around, so I don’t like making appointments.
bought the ticket and returned to the Van Gogh Museum. This time I went in directly with the ticket. As mentioned before, even if the Dutch museums do not rent and explain, they can probably appreciate the connotation of the exhibits. So I saved my bag and went in directly, so I couldn't take photos here.
Actually, I don’t have a great love for Van Gogh, but I can’t deny that some of his paintings are indeed particularly beautiful and have very personal characteristics. The museum arranges the exhibition hall according to time period, so we can see the slight development, change and mature of his painting style, and finally formed the painting style of thick oil paint and a few centimeters long brush strokes that everyone saw.
The works that are more familiar to everyone in the museum include sunflowers, apricot blossoms, and a series of works on wheat fields. What I like very much is the color matching of apricot blossoms, so I bought a lot of souvenirs with this theme haha. And because it rained heavily that day, I didn’t bring an umbrella, so I spent a huge amount of money to buy an umbrella with "Apricot blossoms" printed in the souvenir store.
After seeing the Van Gogh Museum, I took a short rest in the hall, and then went to the National Museum. It was already noon at this time, and it was about the peak period. Not only did you queue up to enter the museum, but you even line up to store your bags. Fortunately, it has been moving but has not been standing for a long time.
After entering, I went straight to the Honor Gallery to see the most famous paintings.
Actually, I really don’t know how to draw, but the explanation I occasionally get is really eye-opening. For example, in the painting "Jewish Bride", the oil paint on her husband's golden sleeves is particularly thick and uneven. The tour guide of the American group said that it can reflect other light sources and make the picture reflective and brighter, which is also the author's unique technique! Then in a museum in the Netherlands, the introduction cards next to the paintings made me truly appreciate the charm of oil paintings light and shadow. Without further ado, if you have the opportunity, you can go to the museum in the Netherlands. The collection is not the richest, but it does allow visitors to truly enjoy the beauty of oil paintings.
There are many people in the museum who bring children and students to visit. I feel that the museum is also part of education, and it does not place art on the top. Instead, it feels very relaxed, easy-going and approachable, and I am quite envious!
has been out of the museum and my next goal is the flower market by the canal. It is said that it is the flower market, but it also sells various tourist souvenirs. I have expanded my refrigerator sticker collection haha.
There are many small vintage shops near the museum, selling antiques that are not true or fake, and the price is not too cheap. Later, when I walked to Hay (the very famous Nordic home furnishing store), I saw that there was also a one across the street. This store is run by a pair of grandparents. Only the grandfather can speak English and has a rich collection. I bought Delft Blue, which was planted after coming to the Netherlands. It is said that this plate was from around 1950. Time is not very important to me, I still mainly look at it haha. The colander next to it was bought at the Vintage store in The Hague.
For people like me who like various tableware and home furnishings, Europe is really a paradise. Not only are there Vintage stores everywhere, allowing people to often enjoy the joy of shopping, but there are also many chain home furnishing stores, and the things they sell are particularly loving. I will list a few of the things I have been to in the Netherlands (not including vintage. After all, in my opinion, vintage depends entirely on fate. Sometimes you may not see what you like if you go deliberately). If you have any one you like, you can go and visit~
The Hague:
Dille Kamille. This store has been seen in Belgium before. It is a complex of gardening, baking, tableware, home furnishings, and fragrance. Walk in the fresh pastoral style. There are various Weck bottles inside.
Amsterdam:
hay, as mentioned before, there are also in Beijing, but I feel that there are not many things in Eminem.
Sostrene Grene: It is also a Nordic home store, with similar content to Dille Kamille, but the decoration is in a dark style, haha, things are not expensive! ! !
Let me show you my Dutch souvenirs, not including the agricultural and sideline products I visited in Rotterdam on the last day haha.
Just walk around like this, I stayed in Eminem until four or five o'clock, and then because of the weather, I didn't go back to Rotterdam. Utrecht. Actually, I feel a little tired of seeing the city, so I will see more natural scenery or go to some interesting and distinctive places in the future.
Day4 Rotterdam
Because the last day is not a whole day, and it is really inconvenient to drag a box to play, I arranged Rotterdam on the last day. Moreover, it takes two or three hours to take the bus to and from the children's dike. I think it's not worth it at all, so I went around the city.
Rotterdam has a river running through it. On one side of the river are very modern buildings, including office buildings of many multinational companies. On the other side of the river is slightly traditional, as well as a large lake and a quiet and beautiful residential community.
Rotterdam's famous cube house (I don't know if it's called this). At Rotterdam Blaak Station, you can see it as soon as you come out. The market hall is also here. There is also a large open-air market on Tuesday and Saturday. It sells everything from food to clothing, and the price is very good.
I bought seasonal white asparagus and a large handful of tulips of 5 euros.
In fact, I just stroll around this day, having dinner with my classmates, and it was almost time to leave.
I think the food is more distinctive in the Netherlands:
freshly made caramel syrup waffles I ate in the open-air market! ! Super delicious! ! ! ! There are some packages available in supermarkets, so I highly recommend buying some! ! ! ! ! ! !
The big fries I ate at Eminem Railway Station, the store name is the one on the picture, it is delicious with mayonnaise! But what’s particularly funny is that I wanted a fan at first, but I found that I didn’t have enough cash to swipe my card, but I was told that I couldn’t swipe it, so I asked for a small share. But it seems that the medium-sized one was already done before, so it made me cheaper. But the medium portion is also a super large portion. I just ate the top layer and I became full. It is recommended that people eat more. This is in The Hague, and there is an uncle selling it in the inner court where he left the museum. It is a three-flavor ice cream. I ordered waffles, as well as cones and small bowls, but I feel that waffles are more distinctive.
This is a Dutch specialty eaten in the market hall of Rotterdam. It is eaten raw herring and is made on site. It has a super fishy smell and can only be pressed by onions. But I have to admit that the meat is still very tender and smooth. Anyway, if you want to try, please be mentally prepared.
OK, this is the end of my trip to the Netherlands.
By the way, I think the schipol airport is quite good, the duty-free shop is also full of things, and I like KLM too! !
can be changed to English in the app, then turn it off and then turn it on. My card was borrowed by someone else, so I have no experience in returning the card.
