Teaching guidance
Halloween is the commonly known as All Saints’ Day. It is a religious festival for Christian religions such as Catholicism and is on November 1st. The Catholic Church sets All Saints Day as Mass Day. On this day, unless there is an irresistible reason, all believers will go to the church to attend Mass to commemorate all the saints who have passed away and ascended to heaven, especially those famous saints in Catholic history. Following All Saints Day is , (All Souls’ Day) on November 2. This day, the souls that have passed away but have not yet ascended to heaven. Believers will pray that they will ascend to heaven as soon as possible.
Halloween eve, October 31st of each year is a traditional Western festival. Many people in Asia mistake Halloween for Halloween.
Before Halloween, the New Year Festival originated from the ancient Celtic peoples. This is also the time to worship the dead souls. While avoiding the interference of evil spirits, we also use food to worship the ancestors and good spirits to pray for peace and harsh winter. The night before (that is, Halloween Eve), the kids would put on makeup clothes, masks, and collect candy from door to door.

While displaying the picture, you can discuss the origin of Halloween and the festive characteristics of Halloween with students. Let the children recall what they saw in the past and what they knew in the beginning. Then guide the children to observe the pictures together. When recalling the observation, the teacher can demonstrate on the blackboard to deepen the children's impression.
Course Demonstration
Step 1: Use a black line pen to draw the shape of the ghost castle on the dark blue jam paper.
Step 2: Select yellow jam paper to cut out the shape of the castle windows and moon and paste them in the appropriate position.
Step 3: Use a black line pen to color the castle as a whole.
Step 4: Use black line strokes to draw the details of the castle (window frame strips), and fly to the moonlight with bat , making the picture look more layered.
Step 5: Use white jam paper or white ultra-light mud to create the shape of a small ghost, use orange and green jam paper to cut out the shape of pumpkin lantern and paste it, and use black jam paper to create three-dimensional small bats and paste it.
Step 6: Use black line strokes to draw details and decorate them, adjust the picture and complete the entire work.
