Reading is not only the main way to absorb knowledge, but also an "important channel for dialogue with the sages."
Since middle school age, "Yangjiaoyan" has fallen in love with reading. Because of my love for poetry, I have read almost all important poetry works from ancient and modern times, both at home and abroad, and have written a total of 14 poem notes, nearly one million words. By the age of forty, he had created more than 600 poems. In 2000, Liu Xiaoping's collection of poems "Reflections of Western Hubei" won the Hubei Literature Award, and he also became the first Hubei poet to win the award.
"Yangjiaoyan" is the pseudonym of Liu Xiaoping, a well-known writer and national second-level screenwriter of Yichang Institute of Arts. He is also the honorary president of Yichang Guoyuan Literary Reading Club. Four years ago, Yangjiaoyan initiated the establishment of the Orchard Literature Reading Club, inviting residents of nearby communities to participate, and build a platform for everyone to learn and communicate with each other.
community grid worker Chen Jinhua, encouraged by Yangjiaoyan to try to create prose. Some of her works in her essay collection "Ge Ge Ji Xiang" were serialized for four issues by the Central Comprehensive Management Committee "Chang'an", and a literary column "Ge Ge Net Things" was opened for her.
community resident Wang Xinmin created a short story "Industrial Worker" with the theme of Gezhouba builders, which was first published in the reading club's social magazine "Orange Literature" and expanded into a novel under the suggestion of Yangjiaoyan. It has been included in the second issue of novel key projects of novels by the Hubei Writers Association and will be published soon.

Yangjiaoyan initiated a charity fundraising for the late young female poet Guo Juan in Yichang and established the "Writing and Reading Fund".
Yangjiaoyan also initiated a poetry recitation and charity fundraising for the late young female poet Guo Juan in Yichang, helping to publish his collection of poems "Very Love" and establishing the "Guo Juan Writing and Reading Fund" to support the creation of local popular literature writers. At present, Peng Lansu, a young teacher at Luluo Road Primary School, has been sponsored to publish the essay collection "Walking in the World of Childhood".
Dangyang farmer Zhang Xishan created the novel "The Cliff" with nearly 70,000 words. Yangjiaoyan put forward clear revisions on the structure, language, content and other aspects of his manuscript. In the end, Zhang Xishan expanded the original manuscript to more than 100,000 words, and was published by China Culture Publishing House last year.
Under the encouragement and guidance of Yangjiaoyan, 80-year-old neighbor Zhu Fuzhi successfully published several essays and joined the Municipal Writers Association, realizing the elderly’s lifelong literary dream; the essay collection "Walking in the World of Childhood" created by member Peng Lansu was successfully published; the 84-year-old retired cadre Wang Zhiyou completed the creation of the novel "Prison City Ballad" and is preparing to publish it recently...
Orchard Literature Reading Club organizes literary lectures, manuscript revision meetings, reading sharing meetings, new book tasting meetings and other theme activities related to reading every month. At present, the whole society has 168 members, 18 members are recommended to Yichang Writers Association for Development, and 5 of them have become members of the Provincial Writers Association. In addition, the social magazine "Orange Literature" has been published to 16th issue, and more than 1.2 million words of literary works have been published.
With the support of the Provincial Writers Association, the brand charity event "Popular Literature Charity Forum" of the Orchard Literature Reading Club invites many outstanding writers in the province to give lectures and exchanges on-site, and has been held seven episodes. At the end of 2015, the Orchard Literature Reading Club successfully held a symposium to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the publication of the "Yan Guopei" by . Old Yan's relatives, friends and nearly 100 writers and literature enthusiasts gathered together to deeply miss the life story, personal charm and creative process of this literary predecessor. With more than one year of hard work, Guoyuan Road Community has been rated as one of the top ten book-loving communities in the province. Guoyuan Literary Reading Club was rated as the "Top Ten Grassroots Reading Promotion Organization" at the first Yangtze River Reading Festival, and Yangjiaoyan and Chen Jinhua were also rated as "Yichang City Reading Promoters". The reason why
is dedicated to reading promotion is not unrelated to his love for reading. "Yangjiaoyan", which has been bravely moving forward for decades on the road of literary creation, has become a part of his life.
Nine years ago, Yangjiaoyan began to transform into creating novels. For this reason, he read a large number of classic novels by contemporary writers such as Marquez, Leclezio, Jia Pingwa , Mo Yan , Lu Yao, etc. At present, Liu Xiaoping has published two novels. "Hong Yufei" is a support project for the Hubei Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and "Hua Tongtong's Sister" is a key support project for the first novel by the Provincial Writers Association. Two years ago, Liu Xiaoping founded the "Helping People with Literature" volunteer service studio and completed the transformation, established the Yichang Yangjiaoyan Charity Service Association, and personally served as the president, aiming to "integrate social resources with the spirit and strength of culture, and help people in need."
htmlOn December 9, Yangjiaoyan, as a candidate for "Find the Most Beautiful Scholars" in Hubei Province, once suggested in an interview with a reporter from Hubei Daily (Jingchu.com): "Reading requires taking notes and making corresponding extended readings to the key points in the book. Only by truly intensive reading can we thoroughly understand a book."
