On the surface, casualness seems to be the "feature" of this band. The band members are 9 Taiwanese music lovers living in Chengdu. They have aged from Taiwanese businessmen over 50 to Taiwanese college students who are studying in the "95s" post-95s Taiwanese college students who are studying in the Sichuan Conservatory of Music. Their professions cover doctors, teachers, and baristas... They do not have a fixed place and time for rehearsals, and they have not even had a meal together in their three years of establishment.
But in fact, the seemingly loose band actually has an extremely solid core, that is love.
Because of their love for music, the band will present a Taiwanese rock night performance every year for three consecutive years, and the repertoire is all Taiwanese rock music; because of their love for life, every member of the band regards Chengdu as the "second hometown", and many of them find love here; because Sichuan and Taiwan are homes, they are looking for commonalities between the music of the two places, hoping that more people will understand and like it, and then sing together.
"Taiwanese rock is not ours, it belongs to everyone." In 2021, Aliang planned to have more interactions with local orchestras in Chengdu, and organized ethnic minority musicians from Taiwan and Sichuan to hold a support event, "I sing my songs with my heart."

"This year's Taiwan Rock Night is the most lively, with more than 100 people coming." On January 15, sitting on the bustling Spring Road, Aliang recalled the band's performance at the end of October and was still happy. On that day, the band performed a total of 18 songs, and the songs were all Taiwanese rock music from the 1970s. On the performance leaflet, it also indicated that the guests were hoping to wear "flower shirts".
"Freedom, self, this is my understanding of Taiwanese rock." At his thirties, Taiwanese young man Lin Liangyan came to Chengdu from his hometown of Taichung. Most of the time, everyone called him Aliang, a professional musician Aliang. Growing up in the era of Taiwan's music prosperity, after coming to Chengdu, he found that many of the Taiwanese youths here had the experience of playing bands. "When they came here, they still wanted to play, but they couldn't get together. I just thought of a way to get everyone together, so that the Taiwanese rock band began to be established."
In 2018, the Taiwanese rock band was established. In this team of less than 10 people, there are guitarists, bassists, drummers, and male and female lead singers. Everyone is busy in different jobs. Even if it is difficult to gather together to rehearse, such a band still makes them feel that it is another window of life. With such love, everything was done naturally from thinking about "come and play" at the beginning to thinking about performing after rehearsal.
Aliang still remembers that on the first year of Taiwan Rock Night, there were only less than 50 audiences, and they were all Chengdu Taiwanese youth in the same circle. The performances had no theme or design, and it was more like a gathering of friends. But in the third year, the band began to discuss the theme six months in advance, set the tracks, and then practiced them separately.
"The theme of the second year is 'Not serious music season', and the third year is 'replicating the Taiwanese rock party in the era'." Among the last songs, there are popular Taiwanese songs such as "Lugang Town", "You are happy, and "I miss you every day", and there are also many songs with a sense of age.
Yan Ling is the female lead singer of the band. This Taiwanese girl who usually speaks gentlely will blow her hair high for the performance, draw sequin-wearing eyeshadows, and sing and dancing on the stage. "Then there will be many friends in Chengdu who come to see you, and then say, it turns out that your old songs are like this, this style."
- This is Yan Ling's happiest moment. She thinks music is a bridge to deepen her understanding.

"Don't dream, be realistic." It seems that this is the first time that all young people have grown up to be a cheer. For these Taiwanese youth living in Chengdu, music allows them to dream safely in their hometown and their second hometown.
"At that time, a friend was in Chengdu and told me that the music atmosphere here was very good, so I came here." Until now, Aliang still remembers that in the first year he came to Chengdu, he opened a piano store and went to bars to perform, and met great local musicians, but he was very homeless in private, but he had never really felt the city. "I went to Kuanzhai Alley and Jinli four times in the first year, because my friend came to Chengdu, and I had to accompany him."
6 years later, now he has his own circle of friends, students, career, and love in Chengdu. His girlfriend is from Deyang. He feels that he can eat spicy food and it is time to come to propose marriage.
The band's tuner Lin Minzhe was born in 1989. After completing his studies in the United States, this tall and strong boy chose to land in Chengdu. He is almost busy behind the scenes in every performance of the band, but he likes such moments, which is to make more people feel that "For us, Chengdu and Taiwan are home."
When the love for music adds emotions for their hometown, everyone in the band goes their best.
The band's drummers sat at home wearing headphones and tapped up and down in the air with both hands. That was a simulation exercise; Yan Ling put on headphones in the bathroom at home, between work, at any moment, and familiar with the tracks; looking for venues, rehearsing on live, making flyers, and every detail of a performance, there are people working hard to do the best.
This is also an easy sharing.
On the first year of Taiwanese rock night, a Taiwanese young man was "arched" on stage. He took out his mobile phone to find the lyrics, held up the phone, and sang the whole song. Of course, later he joined the band and would memorize the lyrics early and think about interaction.
His name is Xu Junhao, he is the lead singer of the former Taiwanese group "Kemi Boy". Now, he is also the lead singer of this "random" Taiwanese rock band.

In fact, the love of Taiwanese youth is not one-way. In order to enable Taiwanese youth to find their dreams with peace of mind in Sichuan, Sichuan has introduced various favorable policies for Taiwanese compatriots in terms of study, employment, entrepreneurship, life, etc., and encourages cooperation between Sichuan and Taiwan to achieve innovative development in the field of culture.
At the end of 2018, Aliang and Yi singer Ji Kehao performed together. In his opinion, Ji Kehao's singing has his own unique voice and feelings for his hometown, which reminded him of the ethnic music of his hometown. He found that although he was thousands of miles apart, the two music had something in common, "For example, mouth spring, both music use this technique." This discovery inspired Aliang. At present, he hoped to hold a Sichuan and Taiwan accent music festival, "Use music to communicate emotions, but whether it can be accomplished can only be known if it continues."
For many years in Chengdu, Aliang is very optimistic about the development of the local music market in Chengdu. Not long ago, he sent the music works of a boy in his early 20s to a musician in Taiwan. The other party was amazed at the mature skills and production in the work. , "Such young man has a high level of musical works, enough to see the potential of the music market here."
The Spring Festival is approaching. Due to the epidemic, most Taiwanese youth will stay in Chengdu for the New Year. Aliang cannot rest. He thought about holding a New Year party and everyone sang together. "Of course, they will control the number of people according to the requirements, or everyone will sing online videos."
Lin Minzhe is looking forward to such an online party. He remembers the touching of hearing "Lugang Town" on the rock night of the Taiwanese guest. "This band is like a ship carrying our memories and experiences in Chengdu, so that everyone can hear it, and more people can hear it."
