will take you to see the mysterious Khmer smile: Sasha Cambodia Tour 1 day Bayon Temple Tapu Lun Temple
Saphat Travel Notes owe too much, and there are trips to the Middle East and Japanese tours that have not been written.
No matter how early , the trip to Cambodia, would be forgotten if I didn’t write it again.
Today, Sasha wrote about our trip to Cambodia, which was divided into two articles, and this is the previous episode.
Many Chinese people are not interested in Cambodia, while Sasha is the opposite.
In terms of cultural heritage, Khmer civilization is also the first-class in the world.
After going to Vietnam this time, Sasha went to Cambodia again.
Due to limited time, I did not go to Phnom Penh, but went directly to Siem Reap where Angkor Wat is located.
Most of the attractions in Cambodia are in Siem Reap.
So, this small town with a population of only more than 80,000 has a dedicated airport.
However, the airport is very small.
After the plane lands, passengers need to walk out of the runway with their own luggage.
Sasha remembers that when he was very young, there were such airports in China, and it is rare now. It was already late at night when I arrived in Siem Reap!
This is Cambodia's currency, and it cannot be exchanged in the country.
riel is not worth it, 1 yuan can be exchanged for more than 500 riels.
Sasha’s money in hand is equivalent to 4 yuan per piece. Be funny!
Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in Asia and even the world. High-income white-collar workers have a monthly salary of only more than 1,000 yuan, and manual workers only have a few hundred yuan.
In 2017, Cambodia's GDP was 150 billion yuan, which is the highest in history.
and Sasha is located in Nanjing with 670 billion.
Cambodia's population is only 15 million, but Nanjing's permanent population is only more than 8 million.
In other words, the economy of a country in Cambodia is less than half that of Nanjing.
Poverty is the norm in this country.
However, Cambodia has made great progress compared to more than 10 years ago, at least there is no problem with eating.
This is the customs in Cambodia.
was written to the customs, and Sasha couldn't help but say something.
This time, Sasha went to Vietnam first and then to Cambodia.
Many people say that Vietnam Customs will make things difficult for the Chinese and extort tips.
However, it was a smooth entry and exit from Vietnam this time.
Customs staff are all Vietnamese uniform girls, they are also good-looking and do not deliberately make things difficult for others.
Generally believed that China and Vietnam have bad relations, but their relations with Cambodia are very good.
Vietnam Customs did not make things difficult for the Chinese, so Cambodia would not be like this.
didn't expect that this was not the case. When
passed the customs, a male employee of Siem Reap Customs said that I couldn’t fill out the customs declaration form, and I said it was in Chinese rather than English.
Sasha glanced at her eyes and saw a line of words written in Chinese on the customs counter: You don’t need to pay a tip!
I instantly understood what was going on.
I wrote it on the spot for nearly 10 minutes and filled all the customs declaration forms, but I just didn’t give the tip. How can you do to grandpa?
This employee had no choice but to let me go.
I only realized after I went there that the two older sisters who came together were asked for 10 yuan, and I won’t let you go if you don’t give it to me.
Sasha has been to more than 20 countries, including very corrupt third world countries, and it is really rare to encounter such a thing.
Look at the appearance of Cambodia Customs, there is still a long way to go for the development of this country.
It was late at night when I arrived in Siem Reap. There were no street lights at all at night, and it was pitch black.
A elder sister from her colleague told me that Siem Reap has developed greatly.
When she came here more than 10 years ago, there was only one asphalt road, and the rest of the places were rural.
They wanted to have a midnight snack at night, but found that there was only one store in the city open late at night. Today there was a bar street, and roadside stalls were everywhere.
Today’s Siem Reap is ten times more prosperous than it was back then, but unfortunately it is the level of a county town in China.
Please note that this is a local motorcycle. Some are motorcycles, while others are modified into three-sided buckets, which can be carried by 4 people and transport goods.
This is our ride.
Mercedes-Benz, isn't it awesome?
is not actually our awesome, it's just that the local reception is arranged like this.
Sasha is not a civil servant or a state cadre, I am just a migrant worker.
Every time I travel, I spend my own money.
I pay for the service, so it is naturally a good thing to give higher standards from the local area.
Interestingly, Cambodia seems to have a good impression of German cars.
This is not a new car, it is mostly a second-hand driver eliminated by Germany and exported to Cambodia at a low price. Cars like
are also scrapped in Germany, but they can run around in Cambodia.
Anyway, the quality of German cars is excellent, so there is no problem if you run for another 10 years.
Sasha remembers that in the movie "The City of War", the Khmer Rouge young soldier secretly let the male lead go, and said an English Mercedes-Benz advertisement.
Please pay attention to the big trees in the background, which can be seen everywhere in Siem Reap.
This is a hotel in Sasha, which is probably equivalent to a four-star rating in China and the charge is not high.
Objectively speaking, Siem Reap’s tourism development is good and is close to the world’s first-class level. Why
?
Cambodia is an agricultural country. It can’t make a lot of money by farming, so it can only rely on tourism.
Cambodia's tourism revenue in 2017 was RMB 26 billion, which is quite a lot.
After all, the government's annual fiscal revenue is only more than 30 billion yuan.
Please take a closer look. There is a woman swimming in the swimming pool. Unfortunately, it’s not a beauty, but a beauty’s fucking!
Many uncles and aunts in China come to Cambodia for travel. First, the prices are cheap, and second, the people here are very friendly to the Chinese.
elephant, elephant!
The weather in Cambodia is quite hot, the light is very strong, and the temperature in the dry season is around 40 degrees.
This was once a paradise for elephants, just like the neighboring country of Thailand, there were thousands of wild elephants.
Today, there are more than 500 wild elephants in Cambodia, living in the vast forest.
Cambodia's half-century civil war, especially the millions of landmines spread across the country, many elephants were killed and injured.
The remaining elephants dare not go too far to move.
The elephant is huge and has an amazing daily appetite and needs to eat when she is almost awake. You can't move casually, and many elephants are starved to death.
So, the number of wild elephants dropped sharply to only four or five hundred, which was very pitiful.
Siem Reap is a tourist city of world civilization, but in modern times it has always been a small town or a small town.
This place is only more than 100 kilometers away from the Thai border, and more than 300 kilometers away from Phnom Penh.
In the past, Cambodia's economic development basically revolved around Phnom Penh, and Siem Reap was quite backward, which was why it was long-term entrenched by the Khmer Rouge armed forces.
It was not until many years after the fall of the Khmer Rouge that Cambodia needed Angkor Wat to create tourism foreign exchange, and Siem Reap developed.
In the beginning, Siem Reap's development was relatively bad.
The elder sister mentioned above came to Siem Reap around 2000. It was like a rural area, and there was nothing to do. There was still a lot of manure for people and animals on the street.
As soon as they go out on the streets, many local children gather around to watch the fun because they are foreigners.
Today's Siem Reap is a hundred times more prosperous than it was back then.
The picture above is a Cambodian waitress, all of whom are short, thin and dark in skin.
With the development of the economy, Cambodian girls' lives have also improved greatly (just relative).
At the beginning of the country's development, there were many terrible things about girls.
The eldest sister mentioned above has experienced one thing.
More than ten years ago, their car stopped in a small village near Angkor Wat, and the driver went to buy cigarettes.
The eldest sister found that there were many Cambodian girls wearing heavy makeup. The oldest was only seventeen or eighteen years old, and the youngest was only twelve or twelve or twelve or twelve or twelve or twelve or twelve or twelve or twelve or twelve or twelve.
The driver told them that these little prostitutes came to Siem Reap to work in the surrounding rural areas.
Cambodies are very poor, and they have no money to buy condoms, and religion does not allow them to have miscarriages.
So, every Cambodian family has many children. This place is also a serious superiority for men and women, and many girls get married early or go out to work.
Siem Reap was underdeveloped at the time and had limited job opportunities. Some girls were forced to engage in prostitution in order to survive.
What’s more exaggerated is that their pick-up prices are very low, often only a few dollars or even one or two dollars.
Some European and American tourists come to Siem Reap to stay for a few weeks and will keep local girls.
When these tourists leave, they only need to give them a few dozen dollars, which is not much better than giving alms to beggars.
: One thing about the prostitutes in Cambodia, the highest number is as high as tens of thousands.
These girls cannot get any protection and are often sexually abused and beaten by customers, and some are disabled or even died due to this.
In short, beauty is poor.
After reading the above paragraph, will you have any misunderstandings about Cambodian girls? They are very lewd and materialistic?
You are wrong.
I have a good impression of Cambodian girls, although I don’t have much contact with them.
Have you seen it?
3 girls prayed to a monk, they all believed in Buddhism.
People say that eyes are the windows of the soul, and most Cambodian girls have very pure eyes, which means that most of them are simple.
Sasha has traveled to so many countries and has seen countless women with yellow, white, black and red. There are really few girls with such pure eyes.
In Cambodia, these beautiful eyes are a common phenomenon.
It’s a pity that Cambodian girls do not conform to our Chinese aesthetic views.
Their skin is dark and their appearance is very different from ours.
They are Khmer people, and the origin of the nation is not yet determined. They are generally believed to be local indigenous people.
OK, start today's first stop, Bayon Temple.
Let’s briefly talk about the history of Bayon Temple and Siem Reap.
Cambodia is a country with a long history. Its first dynasty was established as early as the 1st century AD Funan , which is not long after it is China.
Funan Kingdom lasted for about 600 years, split into the Zhenla Kingdom, and was once again unified after 100 years of chaos.
Unified the Zhenla time in 802 AD, thus establishing the famous Khmer Kingdom.
The Khmer kingdom is very powerful, and its territory once included today's Laos , Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar and Malaysia each.
The founder of the Khmer Kingdom was Jayawaman II, which is the so-called God King, that is, the descendant of God.
Khmer Kingdom is also known as the Angkor dynasty. It was strong for 600 years and did not decline until the 16th century for various reasons.
The following hundreds of years were the dark period of Cambodia, and it was constantly invaded by various powerful enemies.
The territory in the north split into Laos, the territory in the east was occupied by Vietnam, and the territory in the west was repeatedly attacked by Siam (Thai).
The French completely turned Cambodia into a protectorate, that is, a colony.
Cambodia has thus been in a slump and has not yet recovered to become a regional power until today.
The decline of Cambodia in modern times does not mean that the same was true in ancient times.
In fact, Cambodia was very strong during the Khmer Kingdom, that is, the Angkor Dynasty, and was one of the most powerful kingdoms in Southeast Asia.
Khmer king chose to build the capital on the northern shore of Tonle Sap Lake, where the water network is versatile and the land is fertile, and named it "Angkor", and later renamed it Siem Reap.
The Khmer Kingdom has built many irrigation projects, and has made great progress in agriculture. In addition, it is in the hometown of fish and rice, and the country has sufficient food.
In ancient times, food was everything, and developed agriculture was a strong country.
In this rich technology, the kings of the Khmer Kingdom have built a large-scale construction to build palaces and temples, making Siem Reap gradually the religious and spiritual center of the entire Khmer people.
At the end of the Khmer Kingdom, the country was already in decline. Siam (Thailand) sent troops to attack several times, and in 1431 AD, it also occupied Siem Reap and captured the Khmer king.
In the end, the Khmer Kingdom was forced to give up Siem Reap and chose Phnom Penh, which is further away from Thailand, as its capital.
Siem Reap was thus abandoned, and countless historical sites were swallowed up by rainforests.
It was not until 1860 that French botanist Henry Mohart came to Siem Reap to collect plant specimens, and Angkor Thom was able to see the light of day again.
Baron Temple is the center of Great Angkor and the most artistic temple.
Let me briefly talk about the basic concepts here, what is Great Angkor, what is Small Angkor, and what is Angkor Wat.
Great Angkor is the ancient city of Siem Reap, the entire city established by the Khmer Kingdom.
Great Angkor is also called Angkor Thom. There are many buildings in the city covering an area of 9 square kilometers.
and little Angkor is Angkor Temple, which is what we know about Angkor Wat.
This is a huge temple, the largest Hindu temple in the world, also known as "the temple of Vishnu".
In short, Great Angkor can be regarded as the Forbidden City in Beijing, while the Little Angkor is the Temple of Heaven for ancestor worship, which is not the same thing.
Cambodia is fully promoting Angkor Wat, using "Angkor Wat" to refer to the entire Angkor historic group.
The Chinese have caused a misunderstanding, thinking that Angkor Wat is Great Angkor.
Angkor Wat is just one of the many attractions in Siem Reap. There are thirty or forty famous attractions in Siem Reap, and those that are not famous can be seen everywhere.
Ancient Cambodians believed in religion very much and had to build large temples when they first built cities.
Temples are the soul of the city and often take several generations to build.
This Bayon Temple was built at the end of the 12th century. It is a temple built for himself by King Jayavarman VII and is also the center of Great Angkor Thom.
Everyone pays attention to the relief of the temple, recording the strength of the Khmer army back then, including powerful infantry and battle elephant .
was indeed the case back then.
The Khmer Kingdom is very large in area, and the entire Indochina Peninsula (Indochina) is under its control, including Thailand, Myanmar, and part of Malaysia.
is so awesome, it is because it has a powerful army.
Please note that these reliefs are of high level and are still preserved intact after 800 years.
Come on, look at this.
The most famous thing about Bayon Temple is the Khmer smile. The Khmer smile is an important representative of the entire Cambodian monuments.
Please note that this Four-faced Buddha , the Hindu god Brahma, is smiling.
This smile is quite magical and mysterious, making people want to smile.
Originally, Bayon Temple was a Hindu temple, used to worship the three main gods.
This country was a standard Hindu country in the Funan and Zhenla countries.
In the Khmer era, Buddhism had already taken root in Cambodia, and King Jayavarma VII was keen on Buddhism.
So, Bayon Temple was converted into a Buddhist temple, and countless four-faced Buddhas were built.
The four sides of the Buddha statue represent compassion, compassion, joy and giving.
, and Jayavarman VII believed that all Khmer kings of all generations were reincarnated by the Buddha and ordered the creation of the four-faced Buddha's face according to their own appearance.
Jayavarman VII was a king who likes to smile, and thus the world-famous Khmer smile appeared.
Bayon Temple is considered a relatively well-preserved temple, but it still has a lot of damage.
Before modern times, Siem Reap was completely abandoned and there was no protection for cultural relics.
Cambodia is a country with rainy season. The ancient wooden buildings have long rotted in the rain, leaving only stone buildings.
However, these caves are also quite damaged.
Please note that this stone Buddha carving has begun to become desertified.
The elder sister said that when she came to Siem Reap more than ten years ago, all the statues and reliefs were left to tourists to touch, and the stone statues could even be ridden on them!
Some ancient monuments were destroyed as a result, which is a pity.
There is a very interesting place in Bayon Temple, where you can see this long oval stone pillar everywhere.
In fact, almost all Siem Reap temples have such lying stone pillars.
Guess what this is?
is good, this is the guardian of the temple, a cobra with seven heads.
Cambodians respectfully call it the snake god, and it is said that it comes from the Hindu God Naga.
As early as the Funan era, Naga was regarded as a sacred symbol of the origin of Cambodia's country and a protector of the prosperity of the kingdom.
Cambodians worship Naga, just like the Chinese worship of dragons.
Cambodia people regard snakes as symbols of auspiciousness, peace, strength and protection.
So, the seven-headed snake god is everywhere.
Bayon Temple is not big, so you can visit it for up to 1 hour, it’s only 30 minutes fast.
OK, let's go to the next stop.
The second stop today is the battle elephant stairs.
The Khmer Kingdom was established in the 8th century AD. By the time of the reigns of Suliyavarmo I and Suliyavarmo II from 1010 to 1150, the empire entered its peak.
The Cambodian army is powerful, with hundreds of war elephants alone, constantly attacking outward, defeating the Siamese and other surrounding ethnic groups many times.
Ancient Cambodians used war elephants as the strongest weapon, similar to today's tanks.
The battle elephant is still very combat-effective as long as it is trained.
Facing the enemy's infantry camp, the war elephant wearing armor is not afraid of bows and arrows, and can directly rush into the enemy group and trample on it.
No matter how fierce the enemy is, it will flee in panic.
In front of an elephant, a person is like a cat, and can be killed with one foot.
At the same time, soldiers ride in an elephant and can shoot arrows from a high place, killing enemies in large quantities with their range advantage.
The ancient war elephant was the killer weapon of the Cambodian army.
The battle elephant stairs are the place where the king reviews the battle elephant.
The Khmer king sat in this stand to review the Elephant Fighting Conference.
Elephant Fighting Conference mainly reports on the training of war elephants, and it is the main combat force of the army.
Of course, the king will also receive rewards.
The battle elephant that wins the battle elephant will become the king's mount, and the trained officers and soldiers will be rewarded.
Elephant Fighting Conference is held every year.
However, Dou Xiang is not the same fake fight as Master Chuanwu today. It often fights to the death.
The elephants are huge in size, and the elephants who fail to fight are basically seriously injured or even died.
The Elephant Fighting Conference is very tragic, but it can guarantee the combat capability of the Elephant. During the Elephant Fighting Conference, infantry, cavalry and carriages will also line up through the central square to be inspected by the king.
The Battle Elephant Steps is a very small attraction, so we went to the famous Tapulun Temple.
It was built by Khmer King Jayavarman VII in 1186 to commemorate his mother, so it is also called the "Mother Temple".
Entering Tapulun Temple requires walking through a section of forest.
Cambodia is full of forests, with a forest coverage rate of nearly 70%, which is amazing.
Please note that there is a small shed on the left. This is a Cambodian non-governmental organization that raises donations for those injured by landmines.
They are simple bands, mostly Cambodian men who were blown away by landmines.
Outside every attractions in Siem Reap, there are these men.
This country has the highest mine density in the world.
15 million people, but there are at least 6 million landmines, which is equivalent to every 2.5 Cambodians being allocated 1 landmine.
Currently, 65,000 Cambodians have been injured in the bombing, of which 45,000 have been disabled for life.
is not just a Cambodian, but more than 100 foreign tourists were killed in 2016.
Most of them are white people who like to hike around, and Chinese people don’t have the courage.
While writing this, Sa Pang remembered something funny.
This is the jungle of Cambodia. In many places, there are dense plants and even dogs cannot get into it.
Khmer Rouge used these jungles to defeat the pro-US regime.
However, there are a lot of mines in these jungles. Especially in Siem Reap, it was previously a Khmer Rouge controlled area, where there are more landmines.
Sa Pang finished his meal at the roadside stall at noon that day, and the Cambodian guy told the driver to take a nap.
I had nothing to do, so I asked the guy if I could just go around it.
The guy said, you can walk around and stroll around the shop.
So, I crawled into the forest next to me and walked for about an hour.
was not ready to walk away at first, and my phone and camera were thrown at the roadside stall.
I like this kind of jungle very much. The more I walk, the more I become more interested, and I walk all the way to the depths of the forest.
When I came back, the young man's face turned pale and he hurriedly asked where I went!
I said, "I can still lose a big man. Didn't you say that the security in Siem Reap is very good?"
The young man said, "It's not a question of whether the public security is good or not. Have you been trapped in the forest?"
I said yes, the young man was so scared that he didn't say anything for a long time. "You are so brave! There are mines deep in this woods, and the locals dare not go."
After hearing this, Sa Pang suddenly remembered that the soil in some places was really different.
I was so angry that I was so embarrassed that "You fucked you didn't say it earlier! I almost lost one leg"
Back to Tapulun Temple.
Everyone knows Tapulun Temple, mainly Angelina Jolie 's "Tomb Raider 1". In the
movie, Laura has a fierce battle at Tapulun Temple.
Tapulun Temple’s unique appearance makes all viewers remember it deeply, and thus it is very popular.
Tapulun Temple, like all temples in Siem Reap, is made of stone and consumes huge financial and material resources.
It has 4 porches, the main hall faces the east.
The outer wall of the east gate is carved with a patron saint holding a mace and a relic tower above the head. When you enter here, you will pass by the "Dancer's Gallery". At the top of the corridor is a flowing and romantic fairy relief. The temple was entrenched by a large tree and not renovated. It was enshrined in it with the "Goddess of Wisdom" (rumored to be shaped as the King's Mother), and the dome was made of exquisite lotus patterns.
The temple can accommodate tens of thousands of monks chanting scriptures here. There are 260 statues of gods, 39 golden pagodas, and 566 official residences in the temple. The biggest feature of Tapulun Temple is that it integrates with the rainforest.
It is a temple destroyed by a rainforest.
Most of the temples have collapsed at present, and the culprit is actually birds.
Tapulun Temple has long been abandoned into an unmanned temple, and a large number of birds regard it as a writer.
Some birds have seeds in their feces. On the picture is a big tree growing on the top of the temple.
Seeds begin to germinate and grow as bird droppings fall into the soil in the cracks of the stones.
When the rainy season comes, these plants grow rapidly, and the speed is jaw-dropping.
Over time, the temple was torn apart by these crazy-growing plants.
The plants in the cracks of these stones look like pythons and are very scary.
Tapulun Temple has been repairing, and it is very difficult.
mainly has been integrated after hundreds of years of growth, trees and temples have been combined into one, and are nicknamed Shubao Temple.
If the trees are cut down, the rest of the temple will collapse and no longer exist.
If trees are allowed to grow, the temple damage will be even more serious.
This is a dilemma.
Tapulun Temple is entirely dedicated to the Hindu gods, and there is also the reproductive worship of the religion.
Sasha saw temples worshiping male penis and female uterus in India, but unexpectedly there were also in Cambodia.
Do you know what this is?
It symbolizes fertility and looks like a female fertility organ.
In Cambodia, Hinduism has gradually been replaced by Buddhism, but it is still deeply rooted in the bone marrow of Cambodians.
This is Sihanouk King's Palace.
Sihanoukville's palace is in Phnom Penh, which is just a palace.
This palace is not luxurious or tall, and it is not as good as a large villa for wealthy Thai businessmen.
As early 300 years ago, the Khmer king had become a vicious person for Vietnamese, Thais, and French. He was like a child emperor and could not be proud of himself.
They can't pursue luxury either, as long as the palace is comfortable, it will be done.
Norodun Sihanouk is the king of Cambodia and died in Beijing at the age of 90.
Everyone knows that in 1970, Sihanouk was overthrown by Commander-in-Chief Langno and Armbox Srimada (Sihanouk's cousin), and went into exile in Beijing.
As a result, Cambodia is no longer a kingdom, but a capitalist country.
Subsequently, the Lonno regime was overthrown by the Khmer Rouge and started socialism.
Interestingly, in the general election after the fall of the Khmer Rouge, the Hansanglin faction in power failed, and Sihanouk's Fengsinbik Party was elected.
htmlIn 092, Cambodia promulgated a new constitution to restore the constitutional monarchy. On the same day, the country restored Sihanouk's identity as king and determined that he was the lifelong head of state. It is said that Han Sanglin Group has Vietnam's support, but in fact it has completely controlled the country.
Why do ordinary people not choose the real power faction, but instead elect the old king's party?
One of the sayings is that the Hindu culture in Cambodia has a great influence on the people.
, especially the Hindu hierarchy, is rooted in the hearts of every Cambodian.
In their opinion, no matter what the king did, whether he had or did not have talent, he was always the highest-ranking Cambodian.
To this day, Sihanouk still has a lofty position in the country.
Sihanouk is a great love saint. He has had 19 women in his life, and 6 of them become his official wives.
One of them turned out to be his half-sister Sisova Monigeshan.
In our opinion, this is too exaggerated.
But this is in line with the customs of their country, and we don’t need to point fingers.
is not far from the palace and is a famous sister temple.
In the Khmer Kingdom era, Buddhism has become the mainstream religion in Cambodia.
Like Myanmar and Thailand, Khmer men have to be monks once in their lives and go to the temple to study scriptures.
This sister temple is a Cambodian-style temple. It has a golden multi-layer pagoda with white tips and a four-faced Buddha tip on the top.
The Cambodian guy said that the incense here is very powerful and he will respond to any request.
Sa Pang did not enter because it was troublesome to fulfill his wish.
I will go to Bangkok this year and lose a wish I made before.
was exhausted and returned to the hotel.
On night, Sa Pang drinks a bottle of beer to relieve fatigue.
This is the famous Angkor beer and is the largest brand in Cambodia. It is said that this is the beer that the Germans helped brew more than 50 years ago.
Angkor beer is brewed with natural mountain spring water, added to hops imported from Germany, and fermented in second degree.
Angkor beer is a very light beer and is not expensive.
Cambodian foods are basically unacceptable to us Chinese, and some foods are also exaggerated.
We once encountered a snake on the way, and the elder sisters screamed in fear.
The Cambodian guy was not afraid at all, and said, "What's the point of being afraid of snakes? If it were in the countryside, this snake would have been peeled and eaten meat long ago."
Finally, Sa Pang wanted to say one thing.
That night, I went to the roadside convenience store to buy beer and water, and a Cambodian man was guarding the store with his children.
This so-called store is actually a plastic shed with a wooden bed.
There are no street lights in many places in Siem Reap, and the lights are very dim. When paying
, Sa Pang didn't look carefully and gave an extra $20.
I turned around and walked back to the hotel.
walked for about 10 minutes and heard someone calling me, it was the child from that small shop!
He caught up with me and returned the $20 to me, saying that I gave me more money.
This may not be a big deal in itself, but I noticed the clothes of their father and son.
is not considered to be ragged, and it is also very old, which means they really have no money.
20 US dollars is 150 yuan, which is not much for us Chinese.
But many porters in Cambodia only earn six or seven hundred yuan in a month when they work hard!
When people have money, they don’t pick up their own things, which may not be a big deal.
But living in such a poor life, it would be amazing that you can not accept ill-gotten gains!
The Cambodian guy knew about this the next day and told me, "It's not unusual, we Cambodians are like this. Most of us are very honest and believe in Buddhism."Even if the murder is not guilty, they dare not kill him."
At the end of the Cambodian execution, Sa Pang gave the young man a few hundred yuan in tips, and he also refused. "The company stipulates that we cannot accept tips casually, thank you very much! "
, an honest and kind nation like
, hope they will become prosperous and prosperous as soon as possible.
