Taiwan's Central News Agency reported that at 9:43 am on the 7th, the east, middle and west main lines between Xizhi and Keelung were both powered out. Starting from 10:08, the East Main Line between Qidou and Xizhi resumed power supply, but the signal light failure occurred in the middle and East Main Line between Qidou and Xizhi.
Taiwan's United Daily News reported that after investigation, it was found that the main hanging line of the electric car line in Baifu Station was broken about 150 meters, the hanging line fell off in many places, and the tripod was damaged.
Taiwan Railway Qidou to Xizhi West Main Line was opened at 12:50, and the flights of each route resumed normal driving one after another, but the delay of more than one hour still caused many passengers to complain. Some passengers waited in Zhongli and Taoyuan sections for nearly an hour, and some passengers refunded their tickets after 12 noon.
