Since its launch in 2011, Chrome OS devices are no longer limited to Chromebox and all-in-one laptops, and foldable devices with touch screens that can be used in multiple modes are also popular, and now Google has expanded the operating system to tablets.

Acer Chromebook Tab 10 runs a full-featured Chrome operating system, there is a Dock at the bottom of the screen, and there are some tools on the Dock to quickly create notes, screenshots, and enlarge them.

Acer Chromebook Tab 10 supports Play Store and Android applications, and all existing Chromebook educational features (such as classroom IT management) are also supported. Google Expeditions AR software is coming soon, which supports a variety of courses in biology, geography, and astronomy.

In terms of design, the device looks similar to an existing Android tablet, given its educational market. Thick bezels surround the 9.7-inch LED display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 and a PPI of 264. The IPS panel supports Wacom EMR stylus, does not require a battery, and can be seamlessly plugged into the tablet for storage. In terms of
specifications, the Acer Chromebook Tab 10 is equipped with the "OP1" processor we saw for the first time on the Samsung Chromebook Plus, the chipset has two Cortex-A72 and four Cortex-A53 processor cores. Like other Chromebooks, it has 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and a microSD card slot for expansion.
Other specifications include 2×2 MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, 2MP front camera and rear 5MP camera, with USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack and dual speakers, and a battery life of 9 hours.
Acer Chromebook Tab 10 will be launched in North America in April this year for US$329 (about RMB 2062), and in May this year in Europe, Middle East and Africa, with a price of 329 euros (about RMB 2566), the same price as the current entry-level iPad and the same as most Chromebooks today.
