China News Service, March 13, According to Taiwan's "Central News Agency", Taiwan Fengjia University Statistical Marketing Research Group conducted a survey on the development of Fengjia business districts for 11 years, comparing the trend of crowds, overall and accommodation business opportunities over the years. On March 13, 2019, the school released the survey results, pointing out that the crowd in Fengjia business district in 2018 was lower than during the financial storm in 2009, the lowest point in 11 years.

Fengjia University held a press conference this morning, and Professor Li Shenming, convened by the statistical marketing research team, explained the survey results. He pointed out that the number of people in Fengjia business district has decreased in the past two years, with the number of people in 2018 being only 10.91 million, a decrease of 700,000 from 11.6 million in 2017.
Wang Chaoyi, chairman of Fengjia Visitor Service Center, said that in 2018, the number of mainland tourists traveling to Fengjia business district decreased, the number of tourists in Southeast Asia increased, and the consumption power weakened.
Li Shenming said that the special food and drinks in Fengjia business district are the main reasons for attracting international tourists and island tourists to Fengjia for consumption.
From the perspective of consumer opportunities over the years, affected by the global financial crisis in 2008 and 2009, the estimated consumer opportunities were 9.56 billion yuan ( NT$ , the same below) and 8.7 billion yuan, and from 2013 to 2016, it rose from 9.24 billion yuan to more than 10.1 billion yuan.
Li Shenming pointed out that in 2017, due to the unstable economic situation and the structural changes in tourist groups, the estimated consumption opportunities fell to 9.39 billion yuan, and in 2018, there was only 8.5 billion yuan in consumption power left.
In addition, Fengjia University Statistical Marketing Group has been paying attention to the accommodation behavior of consumers in Fengjia business district since 2014. Li Shenming pointed out that according to the survey, the accommodation business opportunities in 2017 were 1.78 billion yuan, and in 2018, about 2.06 million people stayed in nearby hotels, and the accommodation business opportunities grew, with an increase of about 2.06 billion yuan.
Wang Chaoyi pointed out that Fengjia business district is currently undergoing transformation and is also cooperating with Fengjia University to package the store’s brand into a physical store and online platform in a way that conforms to the consumer habits of the business district. Currently, the consumption of food, beverages and accommodation in the business district has increased.
Fengjia University Statistical Marketing Research Group first counts the crowd in the first stage. The survey was conducted from November 22 to 25, 2018. random sampling was taken, with the priority of understanding Chinese. Some people used oral translations to answer overseas people.
