Sina Technology News on the afternoon of February 20, according to the Economic Daily in Taiwan, the board of directors of TSMC passed a resolution yesterday and decided to take out NT$47.14 billion (about RMB 10.337 billion) as cash rewards and dividends for employees in Taiwan.
Currently, TSMC has about 43,000 employees in Taiwan. Based on this calculation, each employee can receive an average of NT$1.1 million (about RMB 241,200), a new high.
It is reported that of the NT$47.14 billion, employees' cash rewards and dividends each account for half. Cash rewards have been paid after the season each quarter, and dividends will be paid in July this year.
In 2018, TSMC's revenue and profit hit a new high, with net profit after tax of NT$351.131 billion (about RMB 77.00 billion), while TSMC's bonuses and dividends to employees totaled NT$47.14 billion, accounting for 13.4% of the total profit last year.
TSMC's board of directors also approved capital budget of NT$114.143 billion, which will be used to build advanced process capacity, convert logical process capacity into special process capacity, as well as the second quarter R&D capital budget and recurring capital budget.
In addition, TSMC's board of directors yesterday nominated Moshe N Gavrielov as an independent director candidate.
