According to Cambodia media, on June 8, in the Zongzhou 1 district of Bosenzhi District, Phnom Penh City, CANTERAN APPAREL garment factory lost contact for nearly two months due to the loss of contact from the boss of Malaysia in nearly two months. A large number of workers continued to protest and asked the boss to pay his salary as soon as possible.

It is reported that the above-mentioned factory has been sublease to the new boss. Previously, workers who were on strike at the entrance of the factory were forced to set up sheds on the roadside opposite the factory to continue demonstrations.

A female worker protested said that the boss owed workers the salary, which had a great impact on her because her husband passed away, and she had to pay off the bank's debts, support her family, and let her five children go to school, etc.

The new boss who rented the factory said he did not drive the workers away. San Sopha, chairman of the Workers' Movement Alliance, said workers demonstrated in front of the factory to prevent the boss from moving the equipment quietly away while waiting for relevant departments to come and resolve the issue. At the same time, he said that this is not the first time the boss has lost contact.

The Ministry of Labor said that if the local government does not take effective measures to do this, other bosses will follow suit and cause losses to the workers.
