IT Home October 13th news, Microsoft today launched Microsoft Teams Premium (Teams Premium Edition), aiming to enhance the experience of its chat and collaboration application Teams with some intelligent features powered by artificial intelligence . The biggest new feature of is a new conference review feature , which mainly adds an artificial intelligence virtual assistant to each meeting to share highlights and automatically record all important parts, just like having your own assistant to take notes for you.
Microsoft Team General Manager Nicole Herskowitz said in an interview with The Verge that the smart meeting review feature does is to divide the meeting into smart chapters, which will reduce the 40-minute meeting you may not be fully involved in to 10 minutes, highlighted when you are mentioned or share the screen. If you have to leave the meeting early, you can automatically fill in the meeting content later where you left.
Microsoft Teams Premium also provides a highly-received AI-powered real-time translation feature that supports up to 40 languages , and will automatically translate voice into text and other languages, which will be a useful feature for enterprises that work remotely and often span many different languages.
Microsoft is also improving the security of Teams meetings through Teams Premium. Similar to the DRM protection for Office documents, Teams meetings will include new security measures to protect confidential information in communications.
Microsoft Teams Premium also adds a feature called Advanced Meeting Protection, allowing watermarking or deciding who can record in a meeting.
In addition to Microsoft Teams Premium, the regular version of Teams will also usher in more features. Excel Live, which has been tested for several months, will be launched in November, allowing the conference platform to edit Excel files directly within the team in real time. IT Home learned that Microsoft has not announced the pricing of Teams Premium, and will launch a public preview version in December, and Teams Premium is expected to be officially launched in February 2023.
