Compared with Sound Boom 1.0, the most obvious change in design of Sound Boom 2.0 is that the tongue is gone, and it is replaced by a sock cover that is integrated with the upper. But note that the height of this sock cover is very low and belongs to the low-top sock cover. If you don’t observe carefully, you can’t even distinguish it. The advantage of this sock-covered inner boot is that it allows the feet to fit the upper better and improve the wrapping ability of the shoes to the feet.
In the upper material, Sound Boom 2.0 combines PU synthetic leather with integrated weaving. Synthetic leather is used in frequently worn areas such as toe and outer sides of the upper, and integrated weaving is used in areas such as the body and inner side of the shoe that need to be wrapped and breathable. This not only enhances the support of the upper, but also improves the overall comfort.
Regarding the midsole design, Sound Boom 2.0 still uses the classic "front B and rear C" technology. Forefoot Bounce rebound technology increases rebound, which is conducive to rapid start-up; rearefoot Cushion technology increases cushioning and disperses foot pressure, which plays a good protective role on the heel and knee joints.
In terms of the outsole design, Sound Boom 2.0 still uses a translucent crystal rubber sole. After all, this crystal sole looks more beautiful, and is more novel and unique than the same yellow rubber sole. Another advantage of crystal bottom is its outstanding anti-slip grip ability. The only disadvantage may be its wear resistance. However, according to the designer, the rubber formula of Sound Boom 2.0 has been upgraded to the rubber formula of the sonic boom 2.0 this time, which will bring about an improvement in wear resistance. The actual effect will be known after wearing it for a while.
There is a row of triangle support structure on the outside of the base, which can provide more stable support when moving sideways, reducing the risk of spraining ankle. There is still a carbon fiber version on the midsole where the front and rear palms are connected, providing support for the arch and resistant to torsion. The editor tried to twist the sole of Sound Boom 2.0 hard, which is difficult to deform, which shows that its torsion resistance is indeed very good.

Although Sound Boom 2.0 is the design of the inner boot of the sock cover, it is very convenient to put on and take off. Just loosen the shoelaces and open the shoe mouth. After all, the height of the sock cover is very low, so don’t worry that it will become a burden.
Sound Explosion 2.0 gives me a very comfortable wrapping feeling, both instep and ankle are wrapped in place, giving me enough sense of security to turn and stop in actual combat. Friends who have passed through Sound Boom 1.0 know that its lower upper does not have enough wrapping and supporting feeling of ankles, which will cause concerns about spraining ankles in actual combat. Sound Boom 2.0 increases the height of the upper, perfectly solving this problem.
In addition, the design of the integrated socks inner boots does improve the wrapping ability. The shoe has a high fit to the feet, and there are almost no gaps loose in the foot cavity, so there is no need to worry about slipping inside.
In terms of anti-slip grip, the grip of Sound Boom 2.0 is not as obvious as the previous generation. The friction between the sole and the field is not that great. After all, the floor glue in the arena now has a good sliding ability. If the sole grip is too strong, it will feel "sticky", which will make the foot lose the agility of flying against the ground. At the same time, friction is inversely proportional to durability, and a smaller friction means that the service life of the large bottom increases.
In terms of stability, the support and torsion resistance of Sound Boom 2.0 are indeed very good. Even if it is forced to start sideways, the upper will basically not deform. There is no need to worry about turning the feet on the side, so I can push the ground and exert force on the court without restraint.
In terms of start-up and cushioning, the sole feel of Sound Boom 2.0 is stronger and more solid than that of the first generation, with a clear rebound feeling, and it is more powerful when stomping and starting, so there will be no sense of force leakage on the feet. But this does not mean that the shock cushioning of Sound Boom 2.0 is not as good as that of the generation, because only the forefoot part has become harder, and the rear foot can still effectively absorb shock and provide sufficient rebound force.

Sound boom 2.0 has been targetedly upgraded and improved on the basis of Sound boom 1.0. It adopts an integrated sock inner boot design, which increases the height of the upper, improves the wrapping and support for the ankle, and greatly reduces the risk of spraining ankle. Stability and startup are also improved compared to the previous generation. The design of the low-top sock cover looks cool, so casual and trendy that you can't even wear it on the street.
Although Sound Boom 2.0 has made significant improvements in all aspects, the price set by Li Ning this time is still 799 RMB, and the cost-effectiveness is unquestionable, so I think Sound Boom 2.0 is definitely a sincere upgrade!
