IT Home May 4th news, Tesla has updated the Model S and Model X models, equipped the central control screen with a new electric rotation function to provide a better viewing experience.
In the past few years, Tesla has invested a lot of energy in in-car entertainment, from Tesla theatre for streaming services to video games. The automaker is even doing some hardware design around entertainment, with Tesla's two flagship models previously updated with a new large-sized horizontal center display that is more suitable for watching videos, and a new rear-seat display powered by a gaming computer.
Now, Tesla makes the central displays of Model S and Model X more suitable for entertainment by adding rotation. The video shows that the rotation functions of Model S and Model X are not horizontally or vertically rotated like BYD , but are tilted horizontally towards the main driver or co-pilot, allowing the driver or front passenger to have a better viewing experience.
It is worth mentioning that the automatic front trunk function in the video is installed by the car owner himself, not an official Tesla function.
It is not clear when Tesla made changes to the Model S and Model X, but the owner who released the video mentioned that the car was produced in the last week of April, so speculation that the Model S and Model X vehicles produced since then have both come with this new version of the central control display.
IT Home learned that Tesla currently does not support playing videos on the central display when the vehicle is not parked, but this situation is expected to change in the future as Tesla achieves higher levels of autonomous driving.
